          “You did what?!” I yell, as Athena displays a smug smile. I can’t believe it. We’ve been in Arizona for less than a day, and she’s already fucked a guy. “Okay, to be fair, he started it!!” She tried to convince me it was fine, but it wasn’t fine. “Jesus Christ, Thena, you can’t be handing out free fuck me passes!!” I yell again. “Blake, It’s fiiinneeee. No one is going to know.” Athena looks at me and shrugs. “Whatever.” I say playfully. We never fight at all, no need to start now. Today was our first day of classes, and Athena could already tell Paris was a bad person. I could tell too.

          “Blake!” I yell from my new dorm room. We landed in Tucson at like… 9 in the morning. I don’t know, my brain is still foggy. I’m tired as hell. We got there early, so we got our dorms specialized so we were together. There are two bedrooms. One is huge, so Blake and I are sharing. The other is for Juda and Cosmo. We set up their room first, Juda’s area in one corner, Cosmo’s in the other. We also put up a doggy door so we could keep that door closed, and they could come out if they had to pee. Once you walk out the door, you’re outside, so it’s perfect for the two.

          Here I am, sitting on my best friend’s hammock in her room, fidgeting with my pencil. I hate doing homework. I’d rather eat brussel sprouts. I hate brussel sprouts. I sigh, and Dallas looks at me with annoyance. But she’s always annoyed with me, at least when we’re doing homework. Mostly because I never focus on it.
          
          “What’s wrong now?” She asks. Her voice is filled with sarcasm, but it’s the kind where I can’t exactly tell if she’s being sarcastic or if she actually cares.
          
          “I have so much homework.” I complain. She rolls her eyes and looks at me. “You’re in your senior year of high school. Of course you have a lot of homework,” She pauses for a moment. “Do you want help?” I look down at my nails, and pick at the skin around them. “Nah, it’s alright.” I giggle, and she giggles with me, as we both absentmindedly run a hand through our hair. My best friend, Blake, and I have been best friends since… well, forever. Since we were 4, so not quite forever. We met in preschool when I walked up to her after some boy had pushed her down. I shared half my cosmic brownie with her and we’ve been friends ever since.
