New book after all this time? Whaaaat? Maaaybe its worth reading, idk

I have an idea for a new book, a girl from the 1880s loses her parents at a young age and lives with her brother. At the age of 17, her brother gets shot, left alone with no one left she finds a hero from her books,  a knight from the 12th century. Then it's your typical love/mystery from there. I'm thinking the knight may be the strong and silent type but also completely oblivious. What do you think?
