Hey, strangers! I don't know if any of you have read the first few parts of After She Left, and if you did, you probably decided it was abandoned. Today, I came back here to clean up a few old drafts in the spirit of NaNo procrastination and I found this one. I had forgotten it was even published. I read through the outline I made and realized how awful the plan for the story really was. I decided to take it down because of how badly it mangled the themes of abuse and alcoholism. I fell into the trap of using child abuse as a way to make a character "cool" and "edgy". Although I had never researched anything about After She Left and I've always hated books where traumatic events happen in a character's backstory and don't have any negative affects on the character in the story, I managed to create a narrative that depended on abuse to function. I knew nothing about abuse. A few months' distance from the book allowed me to realize that it was bad and that I had mimicked writers who used abuse to make an interesting character and a dark, gritty story without ever understanding the real effects of what they put their character through. I made a mistake, and that mistake was thinking the idea behind After She Left was quality.

Sorry to anyone who was remotely interested in reading the rest of After She Left. I might revisit a few of the characters at a later date, but After She Left isn't coming back.

          	Thanks, y'all.

Er... hi... question... so I noticed you voted on Faster Than Light, even though you voted from Chapter nineteen then eighteen and the others??? Sorry I'm just confused...? No offense but I'd rather you not vote if you're not actually reading...

Hey, possible strangers! I published the first part of my first Wattpad book today. It's called After She Left, it follows an awkward, sarcastic high-school boy after his best friend disappears, and there's no conclusive evidence to link it to any deaths, so you have nothing to lose by checking it out. Give it a go if you want to. I think it's pretty okay :-) https://www.wattpad.com/story/74616246
