            sleep decides to abandon me

            but sleep never comes to them. 
            It abandons them like
            happiness abandons an orphan,
            like love abandons a monster,
            like life abandons the ones most
            willing to live. 
            My sleep is a tragic poet;
            it craves misery for its art
            and therefore it carries pain
