            and im not perfect so i may make some mistakes since im not rly that good with my words nor am i perfectly knowledged on everything. so correct me if im wrong :) just be respectful about it

but the point of the matter is, all because ur dom doesnt mean ur top and vice versa
            and all because ur sub doesnt mean ur bottom and vice versa
            
            a lot of people think all because someone presents themselves as more of a soft and less-assertive or shy person, that they're automatically bottom
            
            and all because someone expresses themselves as more assertive then theyre a top,
            
            but i can tell you from personal experience that thats not true
            me personally, a lot of people think im a bottom because im kinda shy and nice (at least when they first meet me,, my close friends stg im mean) but i actually rly dislike being penetrated 
            
            its really about preference and u can never tell what someone else prefers unless they say it themselves :)
