I think it’s finally time for a reset. I’ve created so many stories, characters and different worlds that sometimes everything gets mixed up in my head. Some stories will stay, some will change, and some might disappear completely. But I want every story to feel different and meaningful, not like the same story with different characters.

A lot of these stories also reflect parts of me. My feelings, thoughts, fears, dreams and things I don’t always know how to say out loud. That’s why some of them will always have a special place in my heart. They’re fictional, but sometimes the emotions behind them are real.

I also want to talk about things that actually matter: growing up, body image, social media, pressure, identity, love, and the way people judge each other. Women are constantly judged for their bodies, choices, careers, voices and even the way they age. But men are judged too — for their emotions, appearance, age, success and the way they’re expected to behave. We see it everywhere, even in Formula 1, where people can be judged for one mistake, one race or one decision.

This isn’t about women against men. It’s about people being allowed to be themselves without constantly having to prove their worth. Nobody should have to fit a certain standard to deserve respect.

So this is my reset. New stories, new characters, new worlds, but still pieces of me in all of them. And if there’s one thing I want people to take from this, it’s simple:

          	Don’t doubt yourself.
Don’t make yourself smaller to be accepted.
And don’t forget that everyone deserves to be treated equally.

          	We want equality.

I always find it kind of funny how certain ideas somehow end up appearing in different places, sometimes only a few days apart. I’m not saying anything, because it could very well just be a coincidence… but let’s just say that some timings are definitely interesting.

Author’s Note

I honestly don’t really know how to write this.

I think I’m going to put off the grid on pause.

I’ve been thinking about it for a while, and it hurts a little to admit that I’m not feeling the same connection to this story anymore. I still love the characters, the moments we created, and everything that happened here, but I know that if I keep forcing myself to continue, it won’t feel the same.

Mila has changed so much from the girl I originally imagined. Her personality, her story, her relationships… everything slowly became something different.

And I think I need to accept that.

          I want to start over.

Not because this story was bad. Not because I regret writing it. But because I have a new version of Mila in my head now, and I can’t stop thinking about what her story could become.

So this version is going on pause.

Maybe I’ll come back one day.

          Maybe I won’t.

And honestly, that’s the hardest part to say.

I’m going to miss this version of her. I’m going to miss writing these chapters. And I’m going to miss the feeling this story gave me when I first started it.

But sometimes a story can mean a lot to you and still not be the story you’re meant to finish.

Thank you to everyone who stayed, read, waited for updates, and cared about Mila and Lando.

          This isn’t really goodbye.

          It’s just goodbye for now.

I’m honestly disappointed in Lance as well. I know everyone is entitled to their own political opinions and beliefs, and I’m not saying they aren’t allowed to have them. But sometimes, the people you support or associate yourself with can make you see them differently.

I can still respect Lance as a driver while disagreeing with certain views or things surrounding him. It’s just disappointing when someone you’ve supported is connected to things you personally strongly disagree with, especially when it comes to politics and the situation in Palestine and Israel. :::

I’m honestly disappointed in Lando and the people he chooses to surround himself with. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and political beliefs, and I’m not saying people aren’t allowed to think differently than me. But knowing that someone I supported is close to people whose views I strongly disagree with, especially when it comes to Zionism and support for Trump, is genuinely upsetting.

I know celebrities and drivers are human and don’t owe us the same opinions we have, but that doesn’t mean I have to ignore things that make me uncomfortable. I can still appreciate Lando as a driver while being disappointed in some of the people and views surrounding him. :::
