So I got some news. I managed to actually get a Voice Actress for Agent 8.
However before I send the lines to her. I just want to double check. Would you want to hear Agent 8. Or would you want a different Female Character. Example Remi
I do have plans for this series. And I want to make it as good as possible. With a wide cast of people voicing different characters. However I need to make good choices with the limitations I have. So want some input on what you'd like to see.

However. I might as well bring this up. Yes I see the final splatfest. Yes I am going to play during it
I don't really have a team I want to choose. Cause honestly I love them all......well like 2 teams really. Still haven't played story mode for splat 3 yet lol
(I am stubborn and don't want more things I need to change in this story. Ignorance is a bliss lol)
However. As much as Future is tempting. Since I am always looking towards the future. I won't be choosing them. Maybe in another file perhaps ? But as of now. It's not Deep Cut with Team Future
So it's between Off the Hook and Squid Sisters. And this is a tough one.
Off the Hook cause marina lol. Plus the "present". The here and now. You never know what can happen. So it's best to make the most of it. It's the middle ground of past and future. However. Again. I don't know if i can choose them just yet
Squid Sisters. I am biased. I live the squid sisters. I love how I wrote them in this story. As well as the topic of the Past. I played Splat 1. So the past memories of them stay in my mind. How can I forget. Plus the influence of the past is very important when dealing with life.
Granted all parts are important
However. I think I'm gonna be leaning towards the Past for this Final Splatfest. My Bias towards the Squid Sisters. PLUS given the route my story takes. The "Past" is like the main topic of it given what I write
I will say what team I chose before splatfest. Just know it's most likely Past. But Present is likely as well
(P.S no hard feelings to anyone who chooses another team. Just know. I'm out for blood this splatfest lmao)

@yankee1147 damn, that’s good for the rage he would feel! And yeah Octavio has many reasons to do the things he does (though his actions to fix these reasons aren’t very good), and it kinda makes us feel bad for him. And the “There is NOTHING that a little boy with a cape like YOU could do about it” feels very Octavio!
@C3LEPHOG1RL I actually kept what you said in mind when writing. I tried to see things through their pov. Octavio obviously hates inklings because of the great turf war. And he dislikes the sbs. Because they stopped him multiple times. So that's an obvious. So I made his responses accordingly with that context whenever any of the agent's talk to him. However. I made something that makes you question octavio later on. This was before splat 3 was even a thing. However given what I've seen. I kept it in the story because the end result is kinda the same I won't say what he does exactly. However. All I can is this. Rather. The person we're talking about says this "Imagine your entire home taken from you by the people who you thought were your friends. You have the luxury of living in a world full of life. You have the luxury of being able to call a place your home. Where everyone else can join you. Except for the people that used to belong here ! I bet you didn't even know that language you speak right now. Was the language we both shared in harmony. There was no name. Just the communication between each other. And after the war. You have the audacity to claim the language as your own under your name. Ignoring that it was a shared language between people ! My actions, while cruel, unusual, unjust. And flat out "Detestable" in the eyes of your people. Fully justify my reasons for doing what I did. And wanting what I want for my people ! <more dialog and action happens> Get angry all you want at me. It won't change the fact I did what I did That feeling burns, doesn't it. That feeling of not being able to do anything to change what happened. And how things are happening right now And there is "NOTHING" that a little boy with a cape like "YOU" could do about it" Words said by Octavio
Working on one of the more emotional scenes. And almost everyone is involved. However. Curious. What are your thoughts on Octavio ?
Honestly writing for them was a bit difficult. Because I didn't really have a clear idea for how I want them involved in the story. Are they gonna be a main factor. Or are they just gonna be on the side and appear whenever I need them too ?
It was tough. But I do think I found a good dynamic for them when it comes to interacting with other characters.
For starters I wanted to make them as accurate as possible to how they'd react. I've seen the memes. I've seen the lore. So it definitely "feels" like octavio
However. We don't really know much about the character himself. Other than just head canons. And other fanfics I've stumbled upon.
And as of now. The direction I went when writing them. As for motive. And their responses. I think I may have created something I wasn't prepared for

What are your thoughts on octavio in the series.

@yankee1147 Great! Sounds like your well prepared for Splatoon 3, and yes there are many perspectives in this war, so it makes sense how Inklings and Octolings think of him differently. To Octolings he’s caring for his people by giving them a power source, but to Inklings he’s stealing from them.
@C3LEPHOG1RL Again. I wanted to make it feel like octavio would say what they say. As well as feel the way he feels. Cause through an outside perspective. He is the enemy. But from the octarians perspective. He is the good guy. So a battle of perspectives really. But again. He takes an action that nobody would have thought he'd do. Hence why they say "I did what I did". As well as further justifications And. Perhaps a little something called the recent "New Years Update" in the "Life with 8" story would better give you an idea as to where this hatred possibly stems from As I said. I do have something that makes octavio have that ending he would have in splatoon 3
@Yankee1147 It really depends on which part of the timeline Octavio is in, like in Splatoon 1, he’s trying to care for his people by stealing the zap fish, as well as trying to make up for his loss in the the great turf war. He hates inklings, and has a grudge against Captain Cuttlefish. In Splatoon 2, he is angry at losing, and makes a second attempt to steal the zap fish, at this point, he absolutely hates those in the Squidbeak Splatoon, more than he hates inklings for winning the great turf war. All he wants is for the power to be restored, and the inklings just take it all for themselves! He finds them selfish. As for Splatoon 3, I am aware that in the past you have said you didn’t want to know of any spoilers, but if you have changed your mind, then just ask if you want to know!
So I finished playing big run. To which is super fun. It's actually the first big run I ever got a chance to play in due to "choosing" not to play splatoon 3.
And I just realized that I had technically made a scene like this "waaaay" before big run was even a thing
The original scene was based off the fight in the city from the season 2 Finale of RWBY
As well as a random idea I had for an anime opening
(Side Note: imagining an anime opening with my characters actually helped me create some scenes that appear later in the story. That or at least help pave the way for the direction I want to go with characters and story)
So just be aware that something "Big Run" related is gonna show up one day

On the topic of splatoon 3. There's also the locker feature. To which does also make a comedic appearance in this up coming chapter.
Basically there's gonna have to be a locker room of sorts within deca tower. A way to keep your stuff safe while you're enjoying turf. Cause if majority of inklings are 14-16. Odds are they'd want to go immediately after school. So what better place to leave their school stuff. As well as easily get their weapons. By having a paid locker room. If we were to take a realistic approach.
(As well as something else that's implied <cough>)
(Also side note: my locker on my splatoon 3 account is hot garbage. I missed out on so much lol)
