@yeeyeeboii Oh, don't get what I'm saying twisted. There are a lot of intelligent people that use the word. It doesn't necessarily lend to their being perceived as the intellect they are. I know doctors that use that word. Are they intelligent, yes. But, for me, that all the more reason for me to look at them sideways because they have large vocabularies and know how to convey themselves without using a word that might ge offensive to those they're speaking to even if they are Black. This could just be my upbringing from a woman who has an English degree, but I was taught not to use that word and that was why. As I said, people can say what they want, I do think when it's a part of a widespread platform it makes it very hard to regulate. I've seen it used on here and have reported it to the point that I'm tired of doing so. The problem is that Freedom of speech can play a role with that word which is why I denigrate use because a response Wattpad might get is "You're censoring me and as a Black person, I can say that word if I want." Without regard to the fact that its making it seem acceptable to use and can be seen as offensive to others. It's the "Do as I say, not as I do", but I prefer to follow Dr. King who said it was important to lead by example.
