Hi everyone! Just a quick heads-up: I’ve decided to republish Chapter 1 after going back through it and tightening it up a little.
          
          The story itself hasn’t changed, and neither have the important moments, characters, or direction of the plot. I simply felt that the original version was a little too long and detailed in places, especially for an opening chapter, so I shortened some sections and improved the overall flow.
          
          If you’ve already read Chapter 1, you don’t need to reread it to continue the story. Nothing major has been changed. This is mostly a cleaner, more polished version that I’m happier with going forward.
