heyyy, this is random but do you think should i actually write this book, this is only a few sentences of the opening and if you like it let me know! i might even continue to write in the summer. give me all the constructive criticism you can.
“I want you to spy on him”
“excuse me?” i said
“i want you to spy on Antonio Lambardi.”
“You want me to spy on the Antonio Lambardi, i just got out of training and you give me the most difficult case?” i raise my brow in bewilderment, my father is giving me a case I cannot and shall not mess up but he gave me the most secured man in the city to spy on?
you’re joking..right?
He scoffs “You know that I've planned this whole case for you to carry out from years ago.” He plopped down his hefty briefcase to reveal a large sum of money and his case papers aside the green I could bathe in.
I hover my hand over the cash reaching for a rack but my dad slaps my hand away.
“Reward is granted after you gather all the Intel you can get, got it?” his eyebrows furrowed, waiting for me to give some sort of response, i give none other than a look of disdain that mars my face.
“Fetch one of your imbeciles to do it”
Me and my father have never been that close, and honestly I'm glad we aren’t. His presence sours wherever you are.
“Aria, you know how important this is for me and I don’t like to repeat my instructions, so, take these papers and work on them. Now.”
I let out a chuckle, taking whatever he said completely unseriously. Until father’s veins in his neck appeared as they were to rupture and red slowly tints his face.
“I want phase one done by next week.”
I shoot my father a menacing look.
“I’m still good, but thanks for the offer”. I plaster on my sweetest smile, but it never reaches my eyes.
