Born in Gary, Indiana, Jamar Markeith Renfro is the second out of five siblings on mom's side and the oldest of ten of dad's side. Jamar attended Indiana state university for two years and took a break from schooling. After re-entering the business industry, Jamar decided to pursue writing in order to maintain an outlet, and decided to share his work with the world. Each character in his works represents either someone in his life or something that he has experienced. From his own words: "Instead of writing about myself, I tell stories through characters and focus on the impact that each event has had on me or the people in my life. Someone can always find something to relate to by seeing how a story is told, even if it's not you revealing who it actually happened to or how you actually saw it".
