The silence stung, it weren’t a pleasant silence, nor an awkward silence, it was simply.. a dreadful silence, the whole ride home, and up to now, as Gaara leaned against the kitchen counter, and Naruto were looking through the fridge, “… I didn’t mean it, I didn’t know it would embarrass you so much..” Gaara finally speaks, knowing this whole thing were over his comment to Naruto’s father on how Naruto struggles to put his tie on correctly.
