As a professional sociologist, Class of Valdosta State University BA + MS, and native to Georgia raised in Habersham and a freelance writer for more than a decade, Miranda has since traveled to half a dozen countries and lived in South Dakota (East River 8 years!) and now has resided in University Place, Washington, technically Tacoma and just 30 minutes from Seattle for the past three years.
Miranda Yearwood has been published by Matador Network, USA TODAY, Seat Guru, Travel South Dakota, the Nebraska Library Commission, the South Dakota State Library, and has worked as a ghostwriter for over 1,000 clients.
Additionally, a travel writer and Southern Gothic author, Miranda stays plenty busy. She has worked with CannaSiteCo, private investigators, Randall-Reilly, and was even the Loquacious Librarian for the Platte Enterprise and the Charles Mix Enterprise for a few years.
She has written more than 7 million words and gotten paid for them. Now she puts out content left and right in hopes of figuring out this marketing madness they call social media. Miranda is also a vampirist, giant scout, were-wolf enthusiast, sociologist, librarian, cider maker, label maker, and a single mother to the best teenage son under the sun.
She was also in foster care from 6 to 18 and was one of the oldest adopted foster teens at 15 in the state of Georgia, where she participated in community boards and programs for foster children while under care of the Department of Family and Children Services. That has led to a lifetime of interest in social work, low income services, and community organization, as well as the environment.
At the present time, Miranda is studying to ace the LSAT in order to start her next career move-attending law school. Her logic game training from the gifted program has finally come into great use! You can find her visually on YouTube as Miranda Yearwood Architectural Art Adventurer with YOLOVELVET, her media company.
