Once upon a time there was a little red bird that lived in the enchanted forest. The red bird was happy and loved watching all the other animals show off their magic. One day the red bird went to her mother and asked, "Mommy, why don't I have magic like all the other animals?" Now, little red bird's mother wasn't sure what to say. How are you supposed to tell your child they don't have something the same as everyone else has. So the mother said, "Sometimes, sweetie, people are born differently. Not everyone is the same. Even though you don't have magic like the other animals, you aren't any less special. And someday, maybe you'll find another little bird without magic." Little red bird always remembered the words her mother told her. Even as she grew up and was teased and poked fun of for not being the same as the other animals, she stuck by the words her mother told her. Just because she didn't have magic, didn't mean she was any less special than the other animals. After a while, things were starting to get hard for the little red bird. She had gotten to an age where she had to leave her mother and make her own nest, but without magic, this was quite difficult. Little red bird also didn't have any friends to turn to for help. Maybe not having magic -did- make her less special than the other animals. But little red bird refused to give up. She pushed on and made her own nest by hand. She hunted by hand and learned to fly and did everything all the other animals did without magic. Eventually little red bird, met a little blue bird. This little blue bird happened to have the same problems as little red bird. No magic! Little red bird and little blue bird slowly fell in love and lived their magic-free lives happily ever after.
