          ✶ ﹕ my thoughts after episode 8:
          
          i'm honestly loving the girls this season. that gossip session was one of my favorite scenes so far. they're all so cute together, and i'm living for kayda and mel's friendship because the best friendships always start with "i don't like you."
          
          melanie is my girl through and through. i feel for her so much. huge respect to her for not kissing corbin while sincere was living his best life in soul ties. and honestly, kc stopping mel from going to soul ties made me like him even more. that was such a good friend move.
          
          as for sincere .. i actually can't do this anymore. who named that man sincere because they were setting him up for failure. he tells mel he doesn't want to explore anymore and isn't going to kiss sol again, then immediately goes and kisses her, spends the whole day with her, and tells the boys he likes kissing sol more and that she's making him feel things he hasn't felt before. so why are you still telling mel something completely different?? just be honest with her so she can move on.
          
          and trust me, i want their toxic ass relationship to work out so bad, but if they can't survive week two, how are they supposed to survive casa??
          
          also can we get gabriel out of that villa please!! it's called love island, not lust island.
          
          and i don't really get why kenzie is so upset with mel. mel's connection has been getting weaker and weaker every day. was she supposed to just stop exploring and wait to get dumped? if kenzie's mad at anyone, it should be corbin, not mel.

          ✶ ﹕ my thoughts after episode 7:
          
          mel took accountability and admitted that she keeps hurting sincere, not because she's trying to, but because that's genuinely her defense mechanism. she's said before that she's scared of self-sabotaging, and i think that's exactly what we're seeing. she's not used to being with someone who's actually nice to her, and i think that scares her more than she wants to admit.
          
          also can we stop acting like sincere is some innocent victim here? when sol walked in he was doing the exact same thing. talking about how it was the best kiss he's ever had, saying she felt like a breath of fresh air, and let's be real, if mel hadn't asked about that kiss he probably wouldn't have told her. and he still didn't tell her about the morning kisses.
          
          but i was genuinely so proud of mela during that conversation. she explained her feelings perfectly, took accountability for her actions, and promised she'd make it up to him. that's all people have been asking her to do, and she did it.
          
          so i really hope america sees the vision and doesn't vote sincere and sol together because i swear we're about to get another jeremiah and iris situation, and that was messed up enough the first time. if that's what happens tomorrow, i'm officially done with these audience votes because the voting logic has been fucking terrible.
