Backstory: Born during a rare winter storm, Ametrine Andrews carries a dormant Primeval Elemental bloodline. A quiet, artistic child, she unconsciously used magic through sound and photography. Sent to Chicago to hide and control her growing powers, she kept only Jughead Jones as her confidant.
She returned to Riverdale during the summer of Jason Blossom’s murder, sensing the town’s darkness. Choosing the Southside, Ametrine earned her Serpent colors by protecting the gang, becoming their quiet “hearth” and shield. Her bond with Jughead remained deep and unspoken.

The Primeval bloodline began in 1580 when Asher Andrews, a founder of Sweetwater Village, made an Elemental Pact to stop a spiritual corruption known as the black rot. He gained control over weather and sound, then sealed the power as a recessive trait, meant to awaken only when Riverdale faced true decay. The magic skipped generations—Artie, Fred, and Archie inherited the protector’s spirit, but Ametrine inherited the power.
Born February 11, 2001, during a violent winter storm, Ametrine grew up as the emotional Hearth of the Andrews home. At age ten, she accidentally froze time at Pop’s, witnessed only by Jughead Jones, who swore to protect her secret.
Fearing for her safety, Mary took Ametrine to Chicago (2012–2017), where she learned control through photography (filtering emotional auras) and vintage restoration using Psychometry.
She returned in 2017 as Jason Blossom’s death shook Riverdale. Becoming the Blue & Gold photographer and rejoining the River Vixens gave her cover while she investigated alongside Jughead. Their slow-burn bond finally became a relationship.
After Fred was shot, Ametrine followed Jughead to the Southside, earning her place among the Serpents not through ritual, but protection—shielding them with Molecular Immobilization and warming the Whyte Wyrm with fire.
Now, Ametrine is Riverdale’s Primeval Elemental—a quiet storm who can stop time and summon lightning, yet finds peace in restoring broken things, feeding her people, and guarding the town’s soul.

For clarification, Ametrine has powers BEFORE Rivervale? This is no problem, in fact I think it’s super fun, but I don’t wanna write it wrong.
Also is she Fred’s child? She shares the Andrew last name with him and Archie so I’d like some elaboration there! Other than that, this sounds great like I said. :)
