I have finished the rewrite of Reluctant Phoenix. WOOT!!
This started as editing for grammar and spelling, but as I got into it … well, I am a better writer now than I was when I first wrote the story. It has been a lot of work, but I have sent the manuscript off to a reader for continuity and organization. I don’t think I have left plot lines hanging, but that is why I need someone else to read my work and point such things out.
[In a digital/online world, I don't know if manuscript is the best word for that, but until a better suggestion comes along, I will go with it.]
What is coming:
I need cover art for Reluctant Phoenix.
What I have is suitable for the concept, but it is generated, and I want human-created work for the cover.
I am working on chapter art.
My goal is one sketch per chapter. I am a writer, not a visual artist, so chapter art will include some generated work, which is the only way I can get it done.
I have my next book written.
I will start the rewrite for it in the new year, hoping to have it ready to send to my reader in the spring.
I want readers who can give me some feedback.
Things like, if you have questions about who is speaking, let me know. Or I don’t understand what happened in a scene, let me know.
I am considering moving to Lenix.
By the new year, I want to be off Windows, and that will mean different word processors and a learning curve. Any suggestions on that will help.
