I love your book. I have this idea, maybe you can use it (or part of it) if you like it. About the book store: maybe y/n's parents were so bad with her because they knew about her powers, and they wanted to destroy her spririt so she can't develop her skills? Maybe she is an orphan and they are aliens or something, and that awful night they received the order of killing her because their bosses didn't know how to use her Powers? And now the store is in the mall because somehow they know she is alive and they are looking 4 her all over the world... Maybe to kill her, maybe to control her...
