@ONCECAPTAINS  ah,  steve… you know,  i’m flattered — really,  i am — that you thought of me for something like this.  but i don’t exactly think i’m ‘model’ material.  at least not anymore.  see,  if you had asked me 70 years ago,  that would’ve been a different story.

  "well i'm thanking you anyway."   camila was mostly quiet as she scanned over her body,  looking for potential injuries.   she was definitely a little sore,  something that would surely come back to bite her later,  but she didn't feel nor did she see any open wounds.   nothing serious.   thank god.   camila could feel bucky's stare on her,  but she knew it was only because he was scanning for injuries as well.   she tilted her head to crack her neck,  moving to massage the tense muscles there as she looked over at bucky,  shaking her head.   "bruises,  sure,  but nothing for the medbay.   might've been worse if you hadn't been there,  but i'm too stubborn to fully admit that,"  she spoke,  a soft chuckle escaping her lips.   "and are you okay?"

@crimscns  “no need to thank me.”  [ a low grunt leaves bucky’s mouth as he settles down onto the bench. he cradles his left arm against his chest,  inspecting half-heartedly for any damages or scratches along the metal. he’d taken the brunt of one of the thugs and the heavy hammer he wielded,  using enough force to make bucky momentarily concerned about his prosthetic.  his gaze settles back on camila,  staring long enough to assess for any damages suffered in the fight.  she was strong,  he knew that,  and more than capable of handling herself against a group of goons.  still,  bucky isn’t the type of guy to leave a lady to defend herself,  old values still ingrained in his mind even after with all the decades that stood between that time and now.  he rolls his shoulders, metal and flesh creaking and popping as he stretches his joints. ]  “i didn’t have any doubts about you handling it.  but it’s never bad to have someone watching your back.  you holdin’ up alright?  got anything that warrants a visit down to the medbay?”
