Just wanted to vent a bit. I really enjoy wattpad and that hasn't changed, but now that I know a bit more about relationships and have more fully realized the idea of consent, boundaries and toxic behavior, I've found it increasingly difficult to find books where I can enjoy the romantic elements. It's so annoying when the guy never asks and just assumes, and it's so weird.how helpless some of the girls are. Even when it's called out, it's usually just backlighting and those characters never change. Oh well. Maybe I'm just growing up. Regardless, is rather read a story where,if there's romance, there is also respect, communication, and consent from both parties.
