merry christmas and happy holidays!!

i wallowed and was distracted all day yesterday. i’m just straight up pissed off right now. i never wanted to be invested in politics, but i had to be because it was important to me that people were treated with decency and given equitable opportunities. and now, thanks to the sheer hate that riddles this country, thanks to the pieces of shit who cared more about gas prices than the rights of their mothers and sisters and daughters and friends, thanks to the pieces of shit who voted 3rd party to claim some bs moral superiority for a candidate who also stands for the genocide taking place in gaza, thanks to the privileged motherfuckers who chose not to vote, we may not see those rights again in our lifetime. 
          
          that being said, it doesn’t mean we should give up on trying to change that.
          
          start out by weeding out people in your circle. if you are in a relationship with someone who is apathetic about this at best, or actively support celebrate trump’s win, leave. if you are married to someone who voted for him, try and file for divorce while you can because they have proven that they do not care about you. stop supporting big companies and financially support women if you need any business, especially black women. (psa: LEAVE BLACK PPL ALONE. do not lean on them for support. do better and support them. they showed up in a way that everyone else failed to. and they are the ones who have been let down the most and have among the most to lose in this, if not, the most.) if you have friends who voted for trump, no you don’t. cut them off. they actively decided to vote for a convicted felon and rapist. if you have family who voter for him and you are in a position to cut them off, do it.
