“zed, hey, i-“ addison started to say, a flicker of surprise passing over her face once she actually took him in. “what’s up? you’ve been all.. stressed lately.” the girl’s voice was soft, a hint of kindness obvious. she just wanted to help him out in any way she could. “you’ve got no reason to be, y’know? you’ve got all of your /awesome/ friends here, and.. well, me, of course!” the last words held a joking lilt in them, in a weak, obvious attempt at trying to be bright. “besideeess, everyone adores you.” she added, nudging him. “including me.”

addison snorted at his words, ducking her head to hide her face. “you’ve basically got the whole package, huh? lucky guy,” she joked, a glint in her eye as her mouth quirked upward. “but i wouldn’t have it any other way, you know. i’ll back you up in whatever you do. pinky promise,” she extended a hand playfully, although there was a hint of seriousness in her eyes.
“zed..” addison trailed off, uncertain. “you’ll do amazing. i know you will. but if you doubt yourself, if you don’t think you will, you won’t. so you have to believe in yourself too, just as i believe in you.” she murmured, lifting her eyes to finally glance up at him.
“i did mean it when i said i adored you, silly!!! but don’t let that inflate your ego,” addison chuckled, rolling her eyes. “hm? oh.. you don’t have to thank me. seriously. i’m saying what i want to say because it’s the truth, you know.”

" addie … yeah , I know. you ’re right , I ’ve got the best people around me. I mean , who else can say they ’ve got an alien cheerleader - werewolf - zombie dream team backing them up? " he tried to laugh , but it came out quieter than usual. his eyes dropped to the ground for a second before meeting hers again. " It ’s just … I guess I ’m scared of messing it all up , you know? college , being the first zombie to even /try/ … it ’s a lot. everyone ’s watching. and if I fail , it ’s not just on me — it ’s on zombies everywhere. " he paused , then smiled a little more genuinely this time , nudging her back. " but hearing you say that? makes it a little easier to breathe. especially the part about you adoring me. kinda makes me feel like I can take on the world again. " he leaned a bit closer , voice dropping just enough for only her to hear. " thanks , addie. seriously. "

you dropped your book! ( taro had a book clutched to his chest. it was pouring rain outside of akademi high school, and he didn’t want the book to get damaged. ) here. is it an occult book? i know you like that stuff- ah, obviously.. you have the red armband of leadership. you’re the occult club leader, if memory serves me correct.

ਏਓ ܢ @ymadas ( she tried to relax herself, her shoulders releasing the tension they previously had as she held her book against her chest. she finally look up, her eyes trying to do anything but make eye contact. her voice almost hoarse as she talked once more ) ah .. yes I'm alright. I'm not used to .. outsiders (?) (she spoke the last as almost a question. should she consider other people outsiders? normal? people not like her at least. she shifted her weight to her other leg, trying to stay stable ) I do suppose I am the most devoted, I created the club for .. people like me (she look to her armband, the occult logo making it pretty obvious who she was and what she liked, it was almost like wearing her heard on her sleeve. that is, occult was more or less her heart ) are you .. also interested in the occult? if - .. you come near the club room so often to see us. unless you were just passing by.

( he smiled at her patiently, expression welcoming, in an attempt to be warm to her. he could tell she froze up, obvious by how she didn’t speak until later. his head tilted, a twinkle in his eye as he extended the book to her, careful not to crease it. ) are you alright? you seem.. nervous. ( his tone was kind, eyes glancing down at her face. her nerves were obvious to him, much so. ) mm? of course. while you may not talk about it, i’ve seen you and your club sit around in your club room a few times. plus, with the red armband, it wasn’t hard to figure out that you’re most probably the most devoted to occult.

(her face flustered by the interaction, she took the book from taro, trying not to make eye contact as she listened to him continue to talk) thank you ...
