The seven brothers born not to parents, but from matter, each represent one of the seven deadly sins; Pride, greed, envy, wrath, lust, gluttony, and sloth. They are what humans call fallen Angels. The brothers were all Angels once but it all changed when their younger sister had died in the Great Celestial War. 

Yua Nakamura was the only sister that the brothers had. She was younger to all of them, except Satan. The Angel was beloved by all her brothers but she shared a special bond with the last two brothers, Iukawa and Itachi. 

Because of Itachi's interest in humans, Yua developed an interest in the species as well and had begun spending more time in the human world. There, she fell in love with a man but kept the fact that she was an Angel a secret from him. She had also tried to keep her relationship with him a secret, but despite her efforts, Aiko caught wind of the matter and had gone to the human world for the first time ever to see the man and if he was right for his sister. Assured that the man was the right person for his sister, he blessed his sister a happy life. 

However, all good things must come to an end, afterall. Soon after Aiko's visit, the man was contracted with an incurable illness. In order to save him, Yua went against the rules of Heaven and had cured him using her powers, for Angels were not allowed to alter a person's lifespan. As a result, she received the ultimate punishment, which was to be wiped out of existence that had eventually led to the Great Celestial War. 

She was gravely wounded by the end of the battle. In order to save his sister, Aiko had made a pact with the ruler of hell at the time. The then ruler promised to save his sister only of he and his brothers would pledge loyalty to him, to which, Aiko agreed. Keeping his promise, the ruler had Yua reincarnated as a human and was sent to the human world with no memories of her previous life. There, she lived a happy life and had died peacefully. Aiko kept the reincarnation of his sister a secret from his brothers so that, they would not try to contact her. 

In hell, they were named the avatars of the seven deadly sins known to man.
