Chapter 6: Pain

Rosalie’s Pov

 I was looking in the mirror looking at the engraved X on my chest.  I’m a little worried that something might happen, but I can always fix it because I’m Rosalie Padmore and I can do anything.  I quickly get my bag and speed run out of the house without drinking some blood.  I’m going to meet a friend today so she can see what this X is about.

 She owns a little Cabin in the mountains and once I arrive I throw my bag on the ground and knock on the door.  After a couple minutes she answers the door and smiles.

 “Rosalie so glad you’re here… Please come in,” She offered and I smiled and enter in her house.  

I sit down in her living room looking at the scenery.

 “What brings you to my house,” Mable asked as she was pouring tee in her kitchen.

 “I have a X on my chest and I was wondering what it meant,” I explain.

 I hear glass drop and I quickly get up and go look at Mable to see if she was all right.

 “Mable are you ok,” I wonder.

 “Did you say an X on your chest,” Mable said not turning around.

 “Yeah this witch gave it to me,” I reinsure her.

 She turns around and touches the X on my chest.  Then she looks at me with fear.

 “Is it bad,” I ask with panic in my eyes.

 She leaves my side and comes back with a book.

 “Take this and read it yourself.  I can’t speak this kind of magic in my house.  It’s against the law here in this town.  The women that gave you this she would be dead because were not allowed to do dark magic here,” Mable explained.

 “Thanks,” I said with a fake smile and left her place.  I put the book in my bag and speed ran to school.

 I finally got to school with a minute to spare and I take a seat at my desk by Paige.

 “Hey I was trying to call you about the party tonight that we planned right after we did our project,” Paige said.

“Sorry I was dealing with something, but yeah you talk to me at lunch,” I say as I fake smile.

 In my head I am thinking about the X on my chest and wondering what it could mean.  I been having nightmares of her doing the spell in the circle of me and I wake up sweating.  I really don’t get nightmares because nothing scares me, but this I guess is kind of scary, but I’m sure its something I can handle.  I mean I saved my little brother from the vampires and he lived a good life with his adoptive family. 

 Lunch

 I’m outside looking through the book until I see Paige come and I quickly put it away and saw her holding her hand to her head as she was coming my way.  When she sat down she put her head down on the table.
