Chapter 21: Its Late

(Name) gasped lightly in surprise.

She was being pulled from behind.

An arm wrapped around (Name)'s waist and she was picked up off the ground.

Something covered her eyes and she could hear the whoosh of the wind as the person sped through the forest with her in their arms.

(Name) started to flail her arms and kick her legs wildly.

"Hey! Put me the fuck down!" (Name) yelled angrily, her fist colliding with flesh and a grunt was heard.

"Ha! That's what you get!" (Name) yelled childishly.

The person mumbled something under their breath that (Name) couldn't understand.

Yet, (Name) was in disbelief.

How could she have not sensed this person's chakra?

She felt ashamed.

Suddenly, the person stopped.

They dropped (Name), earning a stream of cuss words from her.

(Name) ripped off the fabric from her eyes and jumped up. Her Syakigan was still ever present, her eyes black and hollow.

"Who the hell are you?" (Name) spat, her eyes narrowing.

"It's your mom." The person said sarcastically and (Name) saw them roll their eyes.

(Name) mimicked them, rolling her eyes also.

"It's me, Kankuro."

(Name) slowly straightened up, looking at Kankuro as if he had two heads.

"Okay.." (Name) said slowly.

"What do you want?" (Name) asked, narrowing her eyes.

"Listen. There's something you need to know..." Kankuro said, looking at (Name) expectantly.

(Name) relaxed for a moment and let Kankuro explain.

(Name) quickly leaped from branch to branch, getting closer and closer to her teammates.

Damn that Kankuro!

(Name) gritted her teeth.

She added chakra to her step. (Name) zoomed through the forest, letting her chakra strings lead her.

She stopped and perched on a tree branch, seeing Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto, who were both knocked out.

Shit. Too late.

(Name) thought.

She jumped down from her branch and landed in front of a scared Sakura.

Sakura had a kunai in hand and she was shaking.

"Woah, Sakura. It's only me." (Name) tried to reason but it wasn't working.

"Stop trying to trick me! I know you're not the real (Name)!" Sakura yelled.

"Are you fucking kidding me right now?" (Name) deadpanned.

Sakura glared at (Name).

"Sakura, what can I do to convince you that I'm really (Name)?" (Name) asked, glaring at the ground.

"Hmm..." Sakura pondered.

"Kiss me." Sakura commanded.

(Name) anime fell.

"NANI?!"

"Kiss. M-"

"I HEARD YOU!" (Name) yelled.

Sakura jumped slightly from (Name)'s loud voice.

"Sakura, I can't kiss you." (Name) said and looked at the ground.

"W-why not?" Sakura said, gritting her teeth.

"Because." (Name) said.

Sakura sighed.

"I'm sorry, (Name)-kun. I-I don't know what's gotten into me." Sakura apologized, plopping down on the ground besides Naruto's limp body.

(Name) shrugged.

"No hard feelings, right?" (Name) mused and sat next to Sakura.

Sakura was... surprised to say the least.

Why was (Name) acting so nice? Was this really the (Name) she knew?

It couldn't be...

(Name) flipped her hood off and offered Sakura a closed eye grin even though she probably couldn't see her smile.

Sakura's eyes were wide but she smiled back anyway.

(Name) deactivated her Syakigan, as it had been activated the whole time and it was making her tired.

"Well, now all we can do is wait." (Name) shrugged.

Sakura nodded.

"Oh, and Sakura?"

"Yes, (Name)-kun?"

"I can see your little trap from here."

"URUSAI!"

BONK!

"Ow! You didn't have to hit me!"

"G-gomenasai, (Name)!"

"Hn.."

A squirrel ran out a bush.

(Name) threw a kunai at it and it scurried away.

Sakura was going to say something but closed her mouth.

"It was a trap." (Name) said and narrowed her eyes at the bush.

"I know that." Sakura said.

Then, three people appeared in the clearing in front of (Name) and Sakura.

Yay! Finally made a chapter! Sorry for the late-ish update. And (Name) seems to be a little less ya know... cold? Idk. She's more loud and wild now I guess.

Me: wtf

Sasuke: ??

Me: screw you

Sasuke: I wasn't even doing anything!

Me: yeah, you're talking to me

Sasuke: Whatever

Me: that's right, go suck on your foot!

Sasuke: *eye twitches*
