chapter 2// monday morning

Rems POV:

Rem woke up to the sound of the Ouran High School Host Club Op since that was her school alarm as well as one of her favorite animes. "Damn I can't believe today is the day!" Rem says while yawning. She was excited to meet this so called 'Kenma' in person but she was also dreading this day. They absolutely hated situations where they had to meet new people and introduce theirself to people.

After showering, Rem put on their uniform and did a simple bat-winged eyeliner with redish-pinkish tinted lip gloss. She did her hair in a half up, half down hairstyle with her bangs out and with the up part of their hair in two different ponytails and red ribbons on each ponytail. Rem ran downstairs and quickly scarfed down some leftover steamed rice and some fruit she found in the fridge. After that, she ran out the door to meet Misaki where they normally meet to walk to school together. Rem was an only child and her father wasn't really in her life. Her mother was always on business trips and wouldn't be back until December 23rd.

After meeting up with Misaki, you share your earbuds with her and the two of you listen to king for a day by pierce the veil. "So, are you excited to go to class 3?? Actually better question, are you excited to meet this dude named Kenma??" Misaki asked while playing the air guitar to the song. "Yes i'm excited i'm just very nervous. I hate introducing myself to new people." you said while also playing the air guitar to the song. "Yeah I know but guess what? You'll be fine!! Just take a deep breath and go with the flow! So what if class 3 doesn't like you, you always have your friends in class 2." Misaki says as she gives you a hug. Her reassuring words seemed to work because you started to feel better about moving to class 3.

Rem and Misaki parted ways as they go to their classes. Rem takes a deep breath before walking into their class. The teacher is waiting for you by the door and tells you to introduce yourself to the class and tell the class about 3 interests that you have. He probably tells you to say something about your interests so you can make friends a little easier. You're shaking a little bit but manage to bow your head before you say "Hello there, my name is Rem Fukari. Ummm 3 interests that I have...umm well I enjoy gaming, color guard, and playing the electric guitar. It's nice to meet all of you."

As you said your name, you saw a boy with cat-like eyes look up at you and make direct eye contact with you before looking away really quickly. You think to yourself "Damn he's cute, I hope I can sit next to him." As if your teacher had read your mind, he said "Fukari, please go sit over there by Kenma Kozume.

Kozume please raise your hand." When you heard the name Kenma your eyes got wide. You thought, "Kenma??? As in Applepi from that discord server??? Oh my god is that really him?? Damn he's really cute." You take your seat next to Kenma in the back of the class and whisper to him "Hey are you the same Kenma from that discord server? Like Applepi Kenma?" He nods and tells you that you guys can talk after class. You nod and start paying attention to the lesson that was being taught.

Kenma POV:

"Rem??? As in ShinigamiRem from the discord server??? Is that really them? She's really cute." The teacher wants Rem to sit next to you which makes you get really nervous. Before you get the chance to ask her first, she asks you if your'e the same Kenma from discord. You obviously say yes but you let them know that you guys should probably pay attention to the lesson so you guys could just talk after class.

The bell rings and you pull out your video game and start to play, completely forgetting that you promised to talk to Rem after class. She taps on your desk and you get scared but you look up, still not making direct eye contact. "Hey your'e Kenma right? Well I'm Rem, it's nice to actually meet you in person!" Even though you were a little irritated that Rem had interrupted your game, you replied back in a monotone voice and said "It's nice to meet you too. If you don't have anywhere else to sit at lunch then I guess you can sit with me and the rest of the volleyball if you want." "Fuck, did I really just ask her that?? Well I hope she doesn't think i'm being pushy. I also hope she doesn't distract me from my game." You think to yourself.

Rem replies "Umm yeah sure, I guess i'll sit with you guys. I brought my playstation too so maybe we can play something together again? You can pick the game." You thought to yourself again, "Oh well maybe she isn't that bad, I actually like her. We have the same interests plus she won't be distracting me from my game if we're playing together. I'm actually really glad we met on discord." For once, today seemed like it was going to be a good day.

Hey guys! Again, I'm so sorry that this story is moving a little slow, I just didn't wanna jump into a relationship with Kenma too fast. In the next chapter, things will start to pick up, I promise!!
