"we need to go to them asap! no one knows what the sisters will do to them, heck they might even torture them for god's sake!" taeyong ranted and ran back and forth in-front of the group who were sitting on the couches, watching a their friend go absolutely nuts.

mark stood up and went to stop taeyong, making the older look at him. "calm down okay? we'll get them back for sure. now, we need to think of a plan to go to xenia without getting caught."

it is true, they needed to pass all the portal guards. yes, there are guards who watch every single portal that leads to xenia. well, main portals only. everyone uses all the main portals to go from different worlds and the human-fairy portal is always jam packed with guards.

the other three were able to pass through the main portal, barely.

they wore disguises so that they wont be recognized. the sisters have already black listed all the 7 fairies after they found out they had contact with the queen.

that's why they were chased out of the xen palace, thus resulting in them using their only one-time emergency portal that they can open anywhere and landed on the ceiling of hwayoung's living room.

"first, we need to find someone who has access to a secondary portal to xenia. then, we can go from there." taeil says as he looks through his tablet.

a secondary portal is a portal only a few fairies are able to have access to. those portals lead to different parts of xenia that are hidden from guards and other fairies. it was a perfect pathway.

"OH- i know someone!!" haechan suddenly jumps up, making everyone turn their attention to the youngest.

"we can go to renjun's place! he's a fairy friend of mine also living here in the human world and he has a portal. we can go there and use it! i know this because i used his portal before-when i went to him to get my wings done." the boy chuckled at the end. there was no doubt that haechan LOVED customizing his pair of wings. renjun was basically his lifesaver since he's only one of the few fairies who knew how to change colors and styles of wings. it was his power.

"okay let's go." johnny said and pulled out the bright ruby gem out of nowhere. it glowed and had some sort of glitter effect right around it.

but why did it seem so familiar to hwayoung?

just as they were all about to touch the gem, hwayoung stopped and walked towards johnny, looking at him in the eyes. "my dad had the same gem a few years ago. he always brought it with him but after he died, it disappeared. isn't this gem only in the fairy world or??"

johnny froze for a second and looked at the other guys for help, only for them to give a shrug.

"sweetie, it's not my place to talk about it or answer your question. i'm sorry."

taeyong stepped up and brought a hand to her shoulder, "you'll get it answered soon okay? for now we need to stick to the plan."

before hwayoung could even reply, johnny had touched the gem and immediately all of them disappeared in plain sight, leaving the girl's apartment empty and quiet once again.

they opened their eyes, only to see them be in a different city. roads and buildings were different, and it was certainly not their hometown nor anywhere near it.

"guys! renjun's place is here!" haechan said and pointed to a small alleyway between two buildings. he went ahead and led the way through, only to stop at a dead end.

they were about to question the younger again, but stopped and watched as he pushes a random brick on the wall to reveal a hidden doorway that led to somewhere else.
