You carefully backed up into the parking space, careful not to go over the line. Every year you went to your gynecologist for a routine check up to make sure you were in good health. You stepped out of the car and headed into the clinic, it being empty due to the early appointment you scheduled.
"Good morning ma'am. How are you?" The receptionist greeted. "I'm good, how 'bout yourself?"
"Not too shabby, not too shabby," she responded, "name for the appointment."
"Y/n L/n."
"Well okay miss Y/n, I just need you to fill out this form, then we'll have you rockin' and rollin." You filled out the form as quickly as you could, and then you gave it back to the woman.
"L/n." The doctor yelled after about ten minutes of you waiting. You walked to the back into the doctor's room, and she immediately began doing the usual. She checked for your blood pressure, pulse, and your height and weight.
"Alright Miss Y/n, all I need for you to do is pee in this cup to make sure there's no infections, and then you'll be good to go." You grabbed, the cup and headed to the restroom, returning the cup back to the doctor after you finished peeing and washing your hands.
"Ok so the results for the test should be back in twenty-four hours, maybe forty-eight." ____________
"Hello?" You answered the phone, the doctor's office finally calling you back. "Hello Miss L/n, I was just calling to inform you that your test results came back, and it looks like your pH levels are higher than usual."
"Wh-what does that mean?" You asked. Was it a yeast infection? Vaginosis? Some other type of disease or infection?
"There's nothing to worry about Miss L/n. It just means you're pregnant." The phone slowly slipped out of your grip as the words of your doctor repeated over and over in your head.
