Chapter 1: Packing

My alarm woke me from my wonderful slumber. I quickly shut it off and snuggled into my soft blanket. I was back asleep until my mother called me,"Sweetheart can you come here I need to talk to you about something serious." Ugh now I have to get up. I tore off my blanket, the cold air hitting my exposed legs since i'm wearing my light pink shorts. I make my way to the kitchen where my mom is making breakfast. The clock in the stove read 9:43 and guessing that she was still in her pj pants that she has the day off. "Hey mom do you not have work?" She looks up at me her eyes red like she has been crying. "Mom are you ok??" i quickly ask walking up to her. In her normal happy tone she said, "Yes dear but i need to tell you something." It freaked me out alittle because she would usually just say it but she didn't." Yea mom what do you need to tell me?" She broke eye contact with me" Your father and i have decided it would be best for you to live with him since i lost my job." Wait mom lost her job." Hey mom that's ok but that's ok mom i understand but what are you gonna do." She looked back to what she was cooking on the stove," I'm going to stay with grandma and sell the house and while I wait for the house to sell look for a new job and an apartment." There was a silent paused and she looked back up at me."Hey you should go get packing we are gonna drive there with all of your furniture and stuff so pack up all your stuff and leave a few outfits out and stuff you need, imma get the moving truck after breakfast for all your furniture and then we can put your clothes and more fragile stuff in your car. Does that sound like a plan?" she says looking back down at the food." Yea when are you gonna leave to dad's house?" She plates the food and says." In two days so we can have time to pack everything and we are gonna your bed in the truck tomorrow night so you'll have to sleep on the couch or with me in my bed." I nodded my head and sat down to eat breakfast with mom and once we were done I hopped in the shower got dressed. Mom was back with some boxes for all my stuff and said if i needed help she would help me I told her that I got it but i'll call for her if I need her help. Before I started to pack i decided to text Leah even tho i haven't talked to her in a while I still texted her telling her that i'm moving back in a few days. It didn't take long for her to text back maybe 5 minutes later and she said.
Leah:"Hey that's awesome since school is about to start I'll show you around and you can met some of my friends 😁😁"

Me: "Yea that sounds like a plan and maybe before school starts we could have a sleepover maybe"

Leah:"Yea that would be awesome i'll let my parents know that your moving back i can't wait you have no clue how much they miss you"

Me: "Haha well i miss them to although they were a little weird 😂"

Leah: " Oh and they have only gotten weirder🤣🤣"

Me: " ok well i gotta pack talk later"

Leah: "Talk to you later

I quickly shut off my phone setting it down and picking out a few outfits for the next couple of days then I pack the rest of my clothes in a couple of boxes sitting them out in the hallway and writing clothes on the boxes with a black sharpie. I can grab a plastic tote and put all of my extra shower stuff except for my shampoo and one of my body washes I put the plastic tote of all my extra shower stuff next to the boxes. I packed up all my extra blankets and sheets in a box except for the fluffy one on my bed I throw my shower curtain in the box with my blankets and sheets and put it out in the hallway with the rest of the boxes. and in a smaller box I put all of my bras,panties, and socks since they didn't fit in the other boxes. I put most of my makeup in a clear tote except for some of the basic stuff like sunscreen, concealer, chapstick, lip gloss, eyelash curler and mascara the basic stuff I need stuffing that in a small makeup bag. It was about 9 PM once I finished packing everything I decided that tomorrow I'll put all of the boxes in my car and put the furniture in the moving truck. I decided to change it to my pajamas, do my nighttime routine and go to bed
