After Ash earned his second badge by defeating Brawly, also while training he caught a Corphish.

They finally arrived in Slateport City, two weeks before the contest.

They are now resting before the Slateport City Pokemon Contest, near a lake.

May wanted to be coordinator so she is entering her first contest with Beautifly and win, even though she knew that Alya is also part entering being a coordinator herself.

While Alya is also entering with her Delcatty and determined to win her second ribbon.

"Now finish it up with thunderbolt!"Alya exclaimed as Delcatty finished their practice.

Alya, Eevee, and Delcatty are away from the others so they could practice for their performance, but just enough so they could find their way back.

Alya smiled wildly as she run to Delcatty and hug her"That was amazing Delcatty, great job!"she praised her pokemon.

"Evui!"

"Del!"

"Let's go back to the others, Delcatty."she said as she started to walk towards where the others are"You did great today. And besides, we still need to cook for lunch."

What they didn't noticed is   a pair of green eyes watching them from the start"Hn, looks like this contest will be interesting."he said smirking while flipping his green bangs away from his eye and walked away with his hands in his pockets

When Alya and Delcatty got back, they saw May struggling with her Beautifly, Max, Alain, and Ash are watching her.

"Were back!"

They look towards them"Hey Alya, hows your practice?"Max asked.

Alya smiled"It went great."

"Good for you."May said sulking.

"Beutifly!"

Alya sweatdrop"Well I'll be cooking now."she said as Delcatty and Eevee followed her.
