Sightings from UNIT #4: Osgood recounts the limited history of Robert Beckner, his future with the Doctor, and what the Time Lord himself is going through.
Log 1,988: Petronella Osgood here. The real one. Happy belated Holidays to my favorite Data sifter! So, it seems there's been a shakeup across the Universe. Not like a big one, but still important nonetheless. It seems the Doctor has broken up with his current Companions, Megan and Michael. Who knows what occurred, but whatever happened it seems the Doctor is now more determined than ever.
There's been whispers from our deep-space coms about the current face of the Doctor cutting a swath through all forms of evil and adversity, sometimes alongside who seems to be a Museum Curator from Brighton named Robert Beckner.

Now this bloke, Robert Beckner, is a bit odd. He ran a small Museum called 'Beckner's Beckon' from 1984-2008 that specialized in Old Kingdom England. His children Felicia and Gregory have entered into Civil Services and his wife Debra is still a nurse. It seems though that his museum had been destroyed in the Dalek Invasion of 2008. Maybe the Doctor feels bad about the future so he wanted to make up for it in the past.
Either way, the Doctor seems to be doing what the Doctor does best:

Stopping monsters, and most likely working through some issues while he gets over being turned away by his companions. We really need to get them in here, I heard they just had a kid.
