I woke up in a empty car. For a moment I had no idea where I was. I sat up and looked out the window. We where in the middle of nowhere but Daniel was no where to be seen. To my right was an old gas station and he walked out carrying two drinks and some snack food. I sighed and leaned back in the seat. He must have just left the car idle while he was inside. He opened the door and placed the stuff in the passenger seat and looked back at me.
"You're finally awake. Good, because we are about to hack into your bank account."
I looked at him in shock. I may not remember a lot of things but hacking into people's accounts was a serious issue. He threw the stuff in the back and held out a hand. I took it and he helped me into the front seat. He quickly let go of me and put on a pair of sunglasses. He started to drive as I buckled my seat belt. All around us was open land but he seemed to know where he was going. I looked over at him as he drived. The sun shone perfectly down on him and made his face illuminate. He looked like an angel. He looked over at me and glanced back at the road. My face reddened and I stared out the window.
"Why are we hacking into my bank account?"
He kept his eyes on the road as he spoke.
"If we are going to disappear we are going to need money. Your wealth plus your now dead husbands will all be in your account. We can't access it with out leaving a trail unless we hack in."
I thought about this and it seemed true. If we were going to disappear we would need to get a different identity and move far away. That would take a lot of money that we currently didn't have right now. I looked out the window in silence but couldn't stand it.
"How are we going to hack into my account? I'm no computer genius and you don't seem the type either."
I looked over at him and a ghost of a smile showed on his lips. He seemed to relax from his tensed state but still wouldn't look at me as he talked. I couldn't help but wonder what had I done to make him act like this?
"We aren't going to hack into your account. I have a friend who is an expert at hacking. Plus they owe me a favor."
I looked over at him in surprise. He smiled but I could tell he was still tense. I looked at him in worry and he glance at me quickly before he looked back at the road.
"You seem tense. Is there a possibility he won't help you?"
He smirked but kept his eyes on the road.
"Well, the last time I saw this friend they were trying to kill me. We are going to have to be cautious about how we make our entrance."
I looked at him in confusion.
"Entrance? You make it sound like we are breaking into their place."
I laughed a little and he nodded.
"That's precisely what we are doing."
He pulled onto a small dirt road that lead into a group of trees. The road was narrow and dark under the canopy of foliage. Daniel slowed the car down as the road dipped down and twisted further into the trees. Birds and small animals watched us as we drove further in. I was glued to the window as we drove. Soon we entered an iron gate that was locked shut. Daniel stopped the car and turned off the engine. I got out of the car with him and looked around. He walked up to the gate and started to examine the lock.
I walked to the edge of the trees and looked in. The looked like they went on for miles in each direction. I went to turn around when something in the underbrush glinted in the light. I looked back at Daniel who was cursing as he tried to climb the gate with no avail. I slowly made my way down the small hill and to the underbrush. I started to rip the thick foliage away to reveal a glass bottle. It was covered in dirt and prevented me from seeing the insides contents. I brought the bottle back up with me to find Daniel thing to pick the lock with a bobbypin.
