Two years have passed since I last saw Daniel. In those two years I have made a name for myself and my current fiance at a huge business. As CEO he runs almost everything and I am his financial advisor along with the companies. We live together in his house and not the house that Valentina bought for me. The house that was actually a mansion. I have kept in touch with Valentina over the years. We have become closed and she even opens up to me once in awhile. Gregory contacted me just last week wanting to meet up with me and Valentina. I was suppose to have lunch with them and was on my way to the café. My soon to be husband would be meeting us later after work.

I drive through main street and got stuck at every stop light. I would be late but I think they wouldn't mind too much. I waited at the red light and started to him along to a song I have never heard. A song that I have only read from the pages of a book. My hand went to the chain around my neck and I pulled it out from under my shirt. Two sparkling rings hung at the end. I smiled at them and a distant memory in my mind played. I was suddenly interrupted when the car behind me honked and I realized the light was green. I drove on and laughed to myself.

The idea of having lunch with three of my friends was wonderful. In a few months one of those friends would then be my husband and the other two a best man and maid of honor. In my car the phone started to ring. It was my husband. I answered it and his voice came through the speakers.

"Hey my lovely wife! What are you doing?"

I smiled. He loved to call me his wife even though we weren't married yet.

"Driving to meet with Gregory and Valentina. Their flight arrived last night and we are having lunch with them remember?"

He laughed.

"Of course,"

I stopped at another red light and glanced out the window. The business was right outside the window and I saw him standing outside on his phone. I smiled and was about to tell him to look at me when a woman walked up to him. He smiled and pulled the phone away from his face and kissed her on the lips. I watched as she ran her hand through his hair and he put the phone back to his ear.

"You're quiet today hun. Is everything okay?"

I watched and the woman started to talk but he put a finger to his lips.

"Yeah, who was that?"

He laughed.

"Just a lady at work next to my office. Are you sure everything is okay?"

I watched in utter disbelief.

"Yeah, look at the silver car in the right lane would you?"

I saw him freeze and I rolled down the window. I threw my phone at him and then the ring on my finger. He started to say my name but I pinned it as soon as the light turned green. I shook my head as I drove like a crazy person to the café. All the lights ahead of me were green until I reached the café. Valentina and Gregory were suppose to meet me there but no one was there. I looked around in confusion until a waiter came up to me.

"Your friends went to the hospital. A friend was hurt badly. They wanted me to tell you."

I thanked the waiter and ran across the street to the hospital. Cars honked as I ran threw traffic but I didn't care. I ran through the doors and started to talk to a lady at the counter. She said that my friends would be on the second floor in the waiting room. I thanked her and made it up the stairs as fast as I could. What if it was Emily or Sam who got hurt. They were leaving for the airport today and it was bad weather. When I reached the second floor I ran into Gregory. I smiled and he gave me a hug before telling me where Valentina was. I walked down and sat with Valentina who had red eyes from crying. She smiled at me and I grabber her into a hug. When she let go she pointed to the room across the hall.
