I'll only be rating their 8 studio albums, and keep in mind that this is just my opinion!

I give this a 7.5/10.
I don't hate it, but this was their first album and they didn't really develop their own sound here. I feel like they tried very hard to sound like The Beatles (which is visible in some songs). My favourite song from this album is Disillusion, it's one of the first Agnetha style tearjerkers.

Waterloo (1974)

This one is an 8/10, they made some hits here

This one is an 8/10, they made some hits here. I like this album! My favourite song from this one is Hasta Manana.

ABBA (1975)

Now they were beginning to sound more like ABBA in this album

Now they were beginning to sound more like ABBA in this album. I give it an 8/10, it had hits like S.O.S. and Mamma Mia! But my favourite on this album is I've Been Waiting For You. It's so underrated but so good!

Arrival (1976)

Now THIS. This was their most successful album, I give it a 10/10! It's not my favourite album nor does it contain my favourite songs (except My Love, My Life), but the songs are just musically and in every way incredible! My favourite from this album is My Love, My Life.

The Album (1977)

I give it an 8.5/10. I feel like this is the album/year when ABBA began their second chapter. The production is amazing, and it has beautiful songs like One Man, One Woman, I Wonder (Departure) and more. But I think this was ABBA's turn because they began writing more serious songs, like I'm A Marionette. My favourite from this album is Eagle.

Voulez-Vous (1979)

A VERY solid 12/10

A VERY solid 12/10. This is my favourite album, and it has my all time favourite song in it! I gave it such a good rating because I love disco, but I also love ABBA's unique sound. They managed to make amazing disco songs while also keeping their own sound, and I love that! My favourite off of this album is Chiquitita.

Super Trouper (1980)

Ah yes. The beginning of the end. I think this is where they started really maturing with their songs. 9/10. This album sounds very 80s, with all the nice synthesizers. It also had some darker songs with more complex lyrics, like The Winner Takes It All, Elaine, The Piper etc. I believe those songs were the start of what would be the Visitors album. My favourite song on this album is Super Trouper.

The Visitors (1981)

This album is SO GOOD

This album is SO GOOD. It's my second favourite, but it's soooo underrated! I feel like more people should listen to this album. 10/10. If I remember correctly, this was one of the first digitally mixed albums.
I feel like people don't appreciate this album enough, but it has such gems! I Let The Music Speak is literally the ABBA version of Bohemian Rhapsody! And The Day Before You Came is such a genius song. When you look at the lyrics without the music, it's a nice love song, a girl singing about how boring her life was before her s/o stepped in. But when you add the music, it is obvious that something bad happened afterwards. Props to Björn and Benny, because they wrote all the dark/deep/complex lyrics on this album even though English isn't even their first language. I can't choose a favourite song, it's a tie between I Let The Music Speak and Soldiers.

That was all, tell me your ratings!
