IV

"I uhh" Hongjoong said not daring to look the boy in the eyes. His heart was beating so hard he was scared he would hear it. But he still floated peacefully with soft eyes.

"Im just tryna get home, its a long story, really."

"Gosh, you look pale. We can get you home later, but now you need food." The boy said lowering down to the ground.

"Oh okay" Hongjoong really didn't want to waste time but he was very hungry.

"Here take my hand." He walked over and held out his large hand toward Hongjoong.

Hongjoong was hesitant to go with him, but after all he was human.

"I promise it's alright" He nudged further.Hongjoong finally put his hand onto the boy's.

His palm seemed to tingle when he touched him, heart rate quickly fastening.

The two boys slowly ascended off the ground. Hongjoong let out a small 'woah' scared to fall.

"You won't fall, i'm good at flying." And then he winked at Hongjoong, making him smile and his cheeks glow soft red.

They both floated out of the cave and over the treetops just like he saw the bird doing. He giggled looking down below his feet, this reminded him of a scene from peter pan.

"What's your name?" Hongjoong spoke timidly.

"Park Seongwha" He said smiled greatly towards Hongjoong.

"My name is Kim Hongjoong"

After flying over the city cackling at Seongwhas jokes, they sat on the edge of a hill overlooking the vast city and breathtaking sunset.

They had stopped in front of a small cottage at the edge of town. Seongwha ran in for a few seconds to grab a small basket leaving Hongjoong on the sidewalk.

They started to eat their picnics watching the sky turn bright orange and red. Hongjoong listened as Seongwha talked about his life attentively taking in all the small details.

"How did you end up here?" Seongwha asked after a long, but comfortable silence.

Hongjoong sighed "We were fighting a couple of animals in a another dimension we needed an escape portal but it crashed." He could feel how seongwha was staring into the side if his head.

"We?" Seonghwa raised a brow.

"Yeah" hongjoong looked over "The rest of my team. They're like my family. We like to adventure all the different dimensions we can."

"Mmm" Seonwha hummed. "Is that why you need to be back so quick?"

"Yes! I miss them so much" his mind wondered fondly toward Wooyoung; he realised he hadn't thought about him once since seongwha found him.

A small shiver travelled down hongjoongs spine.

"Let's get back it's getting cold, I got used to the climate a while ago, you should take my jacket." Seongwha took off the fleece-lined jean jacket of his shoulders and slid it onto hongjoong.

"Thank you" Hongjoong sputtered, chest feeling fuzzy and head feeling light.

"Not many people sleep around here, it can be quite hard with all the chattering on the streets." Seongwha explained as he held out his palm for Hongjoong to take.

Another fun glide across the city lights filled with hongjoongs bright laugh and seongwhas bright smiles.

Hongjoong was tucked into a small but comfortable bed already half asleep so he didn't notice the kiss pressed hesitantly and softly to his temple.

For the first night in a long time, he fell asleep not thinking of his dear friend wooyoung.
