~Josuke's POV~

It's been a few days since I first went back to school, today is a Thursday like any other, a pretty slow school day with pretty average things going on, but something keeps lingering in my mind, Okuyasu. But not just him, but him when we were in that fight back there, the one where he got brutally injured, the one where I held him in my arms in denial, the one where he almost died.

The one where I thought I was never going to see him again..

These thoughts keep lingering in my mind like they have no where else to go, I've had them before but today they're as strong and as brutal as ever.

What if I didn't heal him in time? What if he never woke up? What could I have done different so that he wouldn't have got hurt in the first place? What if this is all just a dream that I made up to cope and he really is dead and I'm still in that coma?? What if—

My thoughts were interrupted by familiar voice, I snapped back to reality and looked at who was speaking to me.

"O-Oi Josuke, you ok man? You zoned out and you were mumbling something to yourself" Okuyasu said, he had a look of concern in his eyes.

"O-oh yeah, sorry man, What were we talking about?" I said rubbing my face and looking up at him where I was sitting.

"You sure you're ok dude, you look a bit stressed" He said, leaning towards my face

"No really I'm fine I swear! What were we talking about?"

"If y'a say so, well Koichi and I were just talking about which stand user could win in a fight against each other, I bet I could beat him easily, just a couple swipes of the hand!" He says with a proud smirk on his face.

"And I say not a chance! You wouldn't be able to even get near me before I make it so you're right hand is stuck to the ground, you wouldn't be able to scrape away at anything. You're not that fast you know!" Koichi says, and starts chuckling at his comment.

"Oh yeah? Wanna bet??" Oku retorted, getting agitated.

"There's no need, I know I would win anyway. Plus even if you did manage to reach me it's not like you're actually gonna swipe me away out of existence just for a bet, so I would win regardless." Koichi replies, keeping his smug look on his face.

Okuyasu seems to back down, crossing his arms and mumbling to himself with an annoyed expression on his face.

"How about you Josuke, who do you think you'd win against?" Koichi says, turning to look at me.

"Oh ummm...I don't really know. I know I'm pretty strong but I can't be sure who I could win against." I say, scratching my head.

"Well you are pretty fast with your punches, and you can fix stuff. I mean we already know you can beat Okuyasu again no problem." Koichi says with a chuckle, looking back at Okuyasu. He was standing against the wall with arms crossed, he scoffed at the comment.

"Hey I've gotten better you know!" He exclaims with an annoyed tone. "I'm the one who saved Josuke and defeated Kira you know!"
