The sun shines throughout the room enhancing the bright reds and golds that covered every bed. The sound of girls gossiping and getting dressed bounced throughout the room as their giggles echoed off the walls. I never got along well with any of the girls, I was too boyish for most of them, except Hermione and Ginny. They were the only girls whom enjoyed my boyish tendency's and the only girls who carried the same fierce attitude as me.
"Goodmorning Jaylin, how are you?" Hermione sat on the edge of my bed, uniform on and as studious as ever.
"Tired" I chuckled, reaching up to wipe eyes as I heard a gasp from Hermione and now Ginny as well.
"What happened?"
"Your wrist Jay" Ginny pointed to the wrist Cassius had grabbed to see almost a bracelet shaped bruise wrapped around my wrist. I quickly pulled my blanket up towards my chest, tucking my arm underneath.
"Did the one of the twins do that to you?" Ginnys voiced picked up in fear.
"Oh god no! They would never lay a hand on me."
Hermione and Ginny glanced at each other, looking back at me. Hermione scooted closer laying a hand on my knee. "Did Cassius do this to you?" worry filling her voice.
I sighed as tears slowly welled in my eyes. I nodded slowly as both girls quickly adjusted their positions to hug me tightly.
"Why didn't you say anything to us? He shouldn't treat you like that," Ginny furrowed her eyebrows.
"I know, I know, its just-" I was quickly cut off to hear the booming laughter of the twins from
the common room. Cheering rang up the staircase and curiosity now filled me as well as Hermione and Ginny. We all quickly stood up and ran down the steps to see everyone surrounding the twins, cheering as if they won a Quidditch game.
"Did you really do that to Warrington?" one girl asked looking at George.
"He's a Slytherin, he must've deserved it" another boy cracked.
Oh god, are they talking about Cassius?
I pushed through the crowd, Hermione and Ginny following close behind. Once I reached the twins, Fred quickly scooped me up into a hug.
"You'll never guess what we did for our first prank!" excitement in his tone.
I knew they had been talking about using a spell to glue all the classroom doors shut so the first few days of school would be without work, but after hearing Cassius' name, that clearly wasn't their choice.
"What did you do to Cassius?" my face blank in fear. If they did something to him, his anger won't be near the anger he'll hold towards me for letting it happen.
"W-we used a s-spell" every word cut with a wheeze as George tried to explain what the prank was.
My patience grew thin listening to George try to get the words out, my heart beating faster with every mention of Cassius' name.
The door to the common room soon swung open with Mcgonnagal, Snape, and... Warrington.
The cheering stopped almsot immediatley as students began to disperse. Once the room cleared only Hermoine, Ginny, George, Fred and I stood in the center of the room.
"Weasleys, step forward this instant! Except for you Ginny dear," McGonnagals expression fluctuated with every word. George and Fred stepped towards the intimidating group.
"Care to explain this?" Snapes monotone voice forever the same yet menecing when grabbed Casius' arms to show us bruising around his wrists, similar to the one he gave me.
