Granger x Reader

This one shot was requested by JheloMLBBstories. I wanted to post this last week but I thought maybe I could make this a Christmas one shot so here you go. Also this is in your point of view.

"Merry Christmas y/n. Can I come over later?" Granger, my childhood friend texted me. I sighed, maybe his presence could help? I'm not having a very good day today and some comforting may help.

"Yea sure." I texted back. I put my phone on my table beside my bed. I didn't feel like doing anything today given the unexpected disappointment today. Merry Christmas huh? Well my Christmas isn't good or happy at all.

*flashback*

I wonder what Gusion will give me as a gift today. Hmm.....a limited edition (preferred/weapon)? A (favourite/colour) dress/accessory? Or perhaps......A ring? It has been 2 years since we are dating already, it could be possible. I got him another half of my matching necklace, I hope he will like it.

One minute passed.....

One hour passed........

After a good 30 minutes, you saw a familiar figure just opposite you. You realised it was Gusion, he was standing in front of an accessory shop looking around.

"Gusion!" You screamed, hoping he could notice you. You ran towards him happily but the look on his face wasn't that happy.

"Gusion?" You paused, he normally wasn't this sad. There was something amiss. "What's wrong? Are you alright?" He looked towards you with a cold glare instead of his usual warm smile.

"Y/n.....let's break up. I don't love you anymore. And.....I already have a girlfriend."

'I don't love you anymore'

'I already have a girlfriend.'

What? It's not a joke is it. Please tell me you are not lying. I looked up at his face and he is serious. I know he is. Does that mean this 2 years of dating were all in vain? Was it all one-sided?

"You can't just leave me like that Gusion Pax-!" Just then an unfamiliar female came to his side. She gave me a confused look.

"Who is this girl Gusion? Is she your gir-"

"No, she is my colleague. We coincidentally met here. She was also shopping for Christmas gifts here too. Y/n meet-"

Slap

Everyone was shocked. The girl beside him quickly took out a tissue for him to wipe his bloody nose. I couldn't take it anymore. I'm leaving if I'm not appreciated here. I turned back and never looking back. I clutched the gift tightly in anger. I should've known better.

*flashback ends*

"Y/n!" I heard knocks on my door and my doorbell being rang lot of times. It must be Granger. Oh shoot! I forgot to prepare a gift for him. I quickly took my matching necklace that I was supposed to give Gusion, ripped the wrapping paper and immediately wrapped a new one.

"Coming!" I called and rushed to open the door. "I'm sorry I took very long. I kind of dozed off just now." He can't know I was wrapping a gift and this lie was somewhat true.

"Oh alright, anyways y/n I got you your (favourite/food) and (favourite/dessert). Oh and this is mine. This is your gift!" Wow he is making me feel bad for not preparing much for him. If only I did I wouldn't have felt this embarrassing.

I brought him some hot chocolate and we sat by the fireplace. After chatting for a while, I decided to eat the dinner he brought for us.

At the dinner table

"Hey y/n. What's wrong?"

"Huh oh what? Nothing's wrong."

"No there is something wrong just tell me y/n." Well he's as sharp as always.

"I-" No. Nevermind I don't want to bring it up.

"You?" Granger looked at me curiously, expecting me to finish my sentence. I bit my lip. I didn't want to say.

He raised a brow.

I still refuse to say anything. There was an awkward tension between us and that never happened before.

"Y/n please."

No. I can't tell him I was dumped.

"If not I'll ask Gusion."

No not Gusion. I can't let him talk to Gusion. I calmed myself down a little by taking taking deep breaths. He would find out sooner or later. I might as well tell him now.

"Fine. I got......cheated on." Granger suddenly stood up and slammed the table with both his hands.

"Calm down. I dumped him. He wasn't good enough for me." He heaved a sigh of relief but I knew it was fake. We continued eating as before but none of us talked.

"Wanna watch a movie?" I decided to break the tension.

"Yea um how about the lizzie mcguire movie?"

"I thought you didn't like comedies?"

"It's fine. It's Christmas and we are supposed to be happy aren't we? Maybe a good laugh would help you out as well." Oh well he knows.

All was good and light hearted. The thing is I'm running out of popcorn.

"Hey granger I'm out of popcorn. I wanna get some more can you please pause the movie for me?"

Granger took the remote and paused it. I blushed a little. Out of all the scenes, he had to pause it on the mistletoe scene.

"Granger-?" He gave me a little kiss on my lips and I blushed a deeper shade of red.

"You can go now." He looked away shyly. I ran to get my popcorn. Oh god why did he do that. Eh yea there's a mistletoe. Wait but I'm not his girlfriend. AHSKSKFJSODJEIDJD

"Let's skip the movie y/n...... oh yea open your gift." Yea maybe it was beat not to watch the movie anymore. I took the gift from his hands and unwrapped it. It was a (favourite/colour) dress.

"I thought you might like it. I love you- I mean I hope you like it." I went to my room and took my gift to him. I hope this is okay.

"I love you- I mean I like it. This is your gift." I teased him. It took me a moment to realise that I said I loved him. He pulled me into an embrace.

I didn't mean it......or did I?
