DEBRA'S P.O.V
Hello there! I'm Debra Geno. And I always cause trouble. But I make a promise! Will I keep it? Ha, you need to read to find out though. So for this chapter, it's "The Beginning". So I'm basically starting over with my first promise ever and building up to the future, or now to my last one.~*~ Early Morning ~*~
"I promise I'll be there! 6:00 sharp!" I said to my best friend, Hannah, before hanging up my phone.
Well, there I go again. Telling a lie! Not only to a crazy immature person, but to my best friend. I really tried to keep my first promise but I obviously failed.
She was having a party. Not just any party, a cute boy party. There is almost every cuts guy on the planet, or should I say universe, ever! That's basically what the party is called: "Cute boy party!"
I arrived at the party and it was already full. I had knots in my stomach and I started to regret this.
"Hey! You arrived!" Hannah said a little bit tipsy. "How much did you drink?" I said looking at her.
"Debra, would you rather ask questions or come and join me with these cute sexy boys!?" Hannah said, literally pointing her finger in my face.
I just shrugged and nervously followed her. "Hey people!!this is my friend Debra Geno! Debra, this is Adam Pole, Jason Green, David Alrosa, and Max Anderson!" Hannah said.
"Uhm, hello?" I said a little shy.
"Ooh you brought us a shy girl!" Max said laughing.
"Dude, be nice. She is shy!" David and Jason said.
"Whatever, see yeah! By shy!" Max said going towards the DJ.
"Uh, sorry about my friend. He's a little um, weird." Jason said. He is so gorgeous!
"Oh no, it's fine!" I said.
"Well, um I'll see you around school I guess." Jason said.
I just smiled like an idiotic creature.
I quickly left out of the house and rushed to my house. I unlocked the door and my brother and my sister were playing Go-Fish.
"Uh hey Andrew and Melissa. Where is Matthew? Isn't he suppose to be back?" I asked.
"Oh, that little dude? He's running some errands." Melissa said as she smiled. "Go Fish!" Melissa said to Andrew.
"Uh, Matthew isn't little. He's practically the oldest." I said.
"Yeah, and I'm the 2nd oldest, Andrew is the 3rd, and you are last! Simple!" Melissa said.
I rolled my eyes.
Sometimes, I feel like I'm the oldest and maturest.
If that's even a word...
"Hey kiddos!" Matthew said coming in from the door.
"Don't say that to me, say it to Debra. She's the youngest." Melissa said as she got up and hugged Matthew.
"I'm referring to Andrew," Matthew said as he hugged all of us. "He's the kid in the house."
"Am not!" Andrew said.
"Am to!" Matthew said.
"Ladies your both beautiful." I said, breaking up the argument.
"I know I'am." Andrew said as he puffed and twirled his hair nonstop.
"How can you twirl that hair?" Melissa said as she messed up his hair.
"It's a talent," Andrew said, before slapping Melissa's hands off. "And back off."
"Aye, no harsh words." Said my brother Matthew.
I rolled my eyes and went upstairs. But before I can even step on the 1st step, Matthew said to me, "Don't be in there to long. Mom and dad will be home soon for dinner."
"I promise!" I said. And with that, I left.
~*~ Next morning ~*~
"So you basically snuck out of your back window to prevent from eating dinner?" Hannah asked as we walked into the school campus.
"Yeah. I feel bad, but anyway I'm sorry that I totally bailed out on you yesterday. Or should I say ditch out." I said in guilt.
"Nawh, it's fine. I'm glad you left because I know how much you hate tipsy and drunk people," Hannah said.
I smiled and we went to our lockers.
"And plus," she added. "I would never be mad at my best friend."
"Thanks, Hun." I said sweetly.
"No problem, Biscuit." She said.
Ok now she is just trying to copy or relate to what I just said.
I heard the bell ring and I went to my first period.
I opened my text book to page 58 and my reading book, that goes with my text book, and turned to page 204.
I read the book, or so called 'chapter 4', and did my notes and my text book. I closed it and saw Adam, David, Max, and Jason sitting in the back row next to me. Adam was right next to me.
I turned around to look at the clock and spotted Adam giving me a glare and quickly looking away in embarrassment.
I chuckled to myself, not loud enough so he could hear me, and I got out my phone.
My teacher allows the class to go on our phones once we finished our work. The only people who get to go on there phone is the ones who finish on time. And I'm one of them.
The class bell rang and I got up from my seat. Students were buzzing out of here excitedly and storming out.
"Uh hey," said Max, looking towards me. "I need you to do a favor. Or a promise most likely."
"Oh, ok sure." I said as I sat back down.
"Do not tell anyone this," Max said as he came closer. "I have a crush on your best friend."
Wow. Max Anderson has a crush on Hannah Olean. Wow!
All I can say is, wow!..!.!!.!.!
"I promise I will not tell." I said with a cheeky smile.
"Ok, great! Thanks!" He said as he grabbed his bag and headed out the door.
I got up from the seat and headed for my locker.
I can do it.
Even if I can't, I have faith in myself. No one is going to block me out of honesty and doing what is right because they aren't in control of me.
I promise.
