'So I have to go on this date alone for the umpteenth time? What the hell is wrong with you and why do I have to keep on dealing with this? Well I can't do this no more, I'm breaking up. This relationship has ended'; Issie said amidst tears and a bowl of chocolate pops.
She had just ended a three year relationship and it felt so devastating , she did see the signs of an imminent break up but she just couldn't believe she had to be the one to do it. She checked her watch, it was just 8pm- it was chilly. She decided to pass by the coffee shop down the street to have a good read and some good latte to keep her mind off what had just happened.
She decided to go without informing her roommate because she was going to pry and she wasn't ready to answer all her questions. She wore a jacket over her dress, tied her boots and closed the door shut behind her. She trotted down the street as she listened to a song by her favorite artist - MJ
The coffee shop seemed quite empty, she sat down- still with earphones in her ear trying to fight back tears. She signaled the waiter for her usual cup of coffee and started reading.
'Here's your cappuccino ma'am ', the waiter said in a rather light voice
'You aren't the waiter who serves me when I come here', she responded. In fact I've never seen you here before? Sorry I'm just skeptical about who serves my coffee, I'm Issie by the way'
' I'm Joseph'
'Do you live around here?'
'I'm just here to help my cousin with her shop'
'O ok, thanks for the coffee'
'Welcome ma'am '
Issie went straight to her book and her coffee and her music. She was a bit enthused by the new waiter though
He smelled really good and he oddly sounded like Michael Jackson but then what would thee Michael Jackson be doing in a coffee shop in a neighborhood like hers? She chuckled at the thought and shrugged
