It has been a week since the asylum and Sky is still giving me the silent treatment. She has only spoken like 10 words to me. All because of Colby. And it wasn't even my fault, even though I can't say that I was upset about it, but still, she shouldn't act like this.
On the other hand, Colby and I have not stopped talking since that night. All day and All night, we have been texting, snapping, FaceTiming, everything, nonstop. He makes me feel a type of way that I have never felt before.
I have also been talking to Jake, Sam, and Corey, who are some of the nicest and funniest people I have ever talked to, and I could really see these people being some of my closest friends.
Colby invited us to a blindfolded hide and seek video with a bunch of other people, and I really want Sky to come with me. I'm just gonna have to rip off the bandaid and force her to talk this out with me because this is a really good opportunity for not only our channel, but to meet new friends. I jumped out of bed and barged into Sky's room. "What are you doing?" Sky says as she pauses her video.
"Sky, you are my best friend. I am your best friend, I hope, so we are going to settle this right now because I am not letting a dude pull us apart. I love you so much, so please talk to me so we can figure this out." I sit down on her bed, next to her, and take a deep breath.
She pauses for a moment and sighs. "I love you too, Alex, and you are my best friend. I was just trying to wrap my head around everything, and I know I shouldn't have taken this out on you. And it was all Colby so I'm sorry for blaming it on you. I just didn't want to believe that he actually had no interest in me. But I realized that he doesn't even know me so I can't fully blame him for not knowing the life I have built for us in my head. Anyways, that's not the point, I know this isn't your fault so I'm sorry I put it all on you. " She says with a smile, while pulling me in a hug.
"Well I'm really glad you said that becauseeeee Colby invited us to a video shoot at their house tonight and I can't go without my partner in crime" I pull away from the hug to see Sky with a giant smile on her face. "You better start getting ready because it's already 3 and we have to be there by 6."
"I'll get ready after this video." She lays back down, and I playfully roll my eyes and head to my room. I feel more pressure to get ready this time because not only am I gonna see Colby and the boys tonight, but this video will be full of really cool people we have never met before.
I shower, brush my teeth, do my makeup, and leave my hair down like I usually do, but it was time to pick out an outfit. I went through probably 10 outfits before asking Sky to put one together for me and, of course, she made the perfect outfit. Hot enough to stand out, but comfortable enough to play hide and seek in, except for maybe the chains, but you win some, you lose some. Somehow Sky was done before me, so once she picked out my outfit, we were ready to go. Surprisingly, they weren't too far away from us.
Now, I'm not really sure what we were expecting when we were invited to the Traphouse, but it was definitely not a huge, beautiful mansion. "Holy shit." Sky says as I text Colby that we are here. The front gate begins to open and I pull up to see his stupid smiling face in the driveway. I could see Sky look over at me, watching us, but I just ignored it to hopefully keep everything peaceful.
We park the car and Colby greets us with hugs. "Nice car." Colby said still holding me in his arms.
"Nice House." I said as we pull away, and we began walking towards the house. Once we open the door, the sounds of talking surrounds me and my anxiety shoots up. I think Colby could tell I was anxious because he looked down at me, shot me a smile and a wink, and placed his hand on my lower back as we walked into the living room. I hate to admit but it did make me feel a little bit better. We were greeted by Corey, but obviously no one else knew who we were.
"Okayyy everyoneeeee! This is Alex and Sky. We met them at the asylum and they are really fucking cool." Corey yelled over all the noise. We said our hellos and everyone introduced themselves. We just sat around talking for a little bit and everyone was really nice and cool. I could tell that me and Sky both were gonna fit in here so well. We met Sam's girlfriend Kat, Jake's girlfriend Tara, Devyn, Jake's brother Reggie and his girlfriend Cassie, Brennan, Mike, and Kevin.
"Party's here!" Sam and Jake scream as they walk in the front door with arms full of alcohol.
"I didn't realize this was a party." I look over to Colby with confusion on my face.
"The real party is tomorrow, but we wanted to take a few shots before the video just to add a little twist. Is that okay?" I look over to Sky to be sure, who had her full attention on Corey, then I nod my head and we follow everyone to the kitchen.
We all take a few shots, hang out on the couch, and kinda get into the mood to film a video. The video was on Sam's channel so he was gonna be the seeker and the rest of us would be hiding. Sam does the intro and we all start running around the first floor finding random places to hide.
Things are falling over. People are falling over. Everyone is trying to hold in their laughter. It was really fun. I saw Mike try to jump over the couch and eat carpet on the way down. I decided to get on top of the bookshel in the living room, Sky was underneath the pool table, and Colby was laying on top of the mantle. Slowly, we heard people laughing, screaming, and running away from Sam. Colby was right across from me so when Sam was nearby, we would try to sabotage each other.
Reggie ended up winning the whole game just by hiding underneath the dining room table, but I was a close second. We all ended the video and got the thumbnail, then hung out in the living room all together again. After a few hours, people slowly began to leave and I was beginning to get tired. I give Sky the eye and she nodded back. I tapped Colby on the shoulder before saying, "Sky and I are getting tired. I think we are gonna head out."
"Awww okay. I'll walk you all out." Corey wanted to walk Sky out as well, so we all got up and headed towards the door. Colby pulled me into a hug. "Please be careful and text me when you get home." He quietly said to me before we pulled away. Suddenly we hear an uproar of awes and oohs coming from the crowd of people gathered by the front door, causing me to blush.
"I will. Bye Colby." I said as he opened my car door for me.
"Bye Alex." He smiled and closed the door, then headed back inside the house.
"Wow. Look at you. You got it bad." Sky looked at me with a comforting smile. I could tell that she was being genuine.
"Shut up. No I don't. We are just friends." I say trying to convince not only Sky, but myself.
"Mmhmm." I turn up the music, give her a smile, and drive into the night. I mean I wasn't fully lying. We are just friends. We haven't even talked like that. We just talk all the time and flirt a little bit here and there.
Plus, I don't think he even likes me like that.
