(Harry’s POV)

I lay in bed counting the seconds until I would fall asleep. It was only ten a clock on a Friday night and my mom wouldn’t let me leave the house. I didn’t usually fall asleep until two in the morning so trying to fall asleep now was like trying to go to sleep after drinking a red bull.

At least I managed to get my phone back from her. So now I won’t be completely isolated from the rest of the world. I scrolled through my messages seeing what I had missed the past few days. There were one or two messages from Will and Ryan and a couple others from Marcus and Nick but the majority of them were from Sienna.

I honestly just wanted to take back this bet, but I know if I did, Will would think I chickened out and then I’d have to give him my guitar. I wasn’t going to give that up just because Sienna wasn’t as horrible as a person as I thought. I mean I could always just lie and say that I did shag her, but then Will might bring it up to her or Maisie and then she’d question everything and never trust me again.

I couldn’t give up my guitar. It was my dad’s; it wasn’t mine to really give up. So I had to win this. Hopefully I get better at hiding this because I swear she can see right through me sometimes. Like today when she charged at me saying I was no different than before.

I had changed from before though. I don’t hate her anymore, in fact I feel like I never hated her in the first place. I’m seeing her real personality and feelings shine out more and more each day and it makes me want to keep going. To be the only person she trusts enough to be herself. But I was doing this for the wrong purposes. From this I’d get a car and end up tossing everything we had over a bridge.

My phone buzzed and blinded my eyes. Maisie’s name was flashing showing that she was calling me and I picked up whispering in the phone.

“What do you want?” There was loud music blasting in the background.

“You promised that you’d make it to this one Harry. C’mon you gotta come over the whole schools showed up.” I forgot that tonight was Maisie’s party.

“Maisie you know I’m grounded and plus if the whole school is there I’m not going to be doing anything with you.” She knew what we had was a secret, we couldn’t just flaunt around each other so eagerly.

“I don’t care about that. I have plenty of guys to keep me company but a promise is a promise so just sneak out. It’s not like your mom’s going to check on you.” She was shouting over the music and I heard Ryan’s voice ask her who she was on the phone with.

I got up from my bed still holding the phone to my ear. I peeked out my window and saw the dead street glow from the light beaming down on them. “Alright I’ll come.” I heard another voice in the background stick out from all the others. A high pitched smooth voice slurred over by the excess amount of alcohol intake.

“Maisie come on get off the phone Marcus wants us to go out on the deck.” The voice whined and I immediately knew it was her.

“Maisie is that Sienna?” I asked

She answered drunkenly, “Oh yeah! She’s here, and if you want your bet to work out you may wanna get here quick. It seems like Marcus is taking up on the opportunity more than you are.” I clenched my jaw. I was beginning to regret telling her about the bet. I had to tell her though; she confronted me about it right after the party. Maisie could always tell when I’m lying so it wasn’t worth the fight.

But what I was more worried about was the fact that Marcus wanted her out on the deck. Last time I checked she hated him. I didn’t think that Sienna would ever go back for him no matter how drunk she was. Maybe she wasn’t drunk at all like last time. I wasn’t going to risk being wrong. If Marcus and Sienna went back for each other, there would be no way I could get her back.
