Willow walked blindly as Tubbo held her hand

Willow walked blindly as Tubbo held her hand. He wanted to take her to the underground entrance. Tubbo asked her to wear a blindfold, something about protecting her from question. She thought it was stupid but she complied either way. Her ears picked up on the sounds of the river, a familiar one that is.

"You can take them off now," Tubbo whispered. She pulled the blindfold up, spotting the river she walked many times before. Willow leaned a bit forward, spotting small light coming from the bottom of it. "It's right there. I wanted to tell you, in case you had to run."

"Run?" Willow asked. "Why would I need to run?"

"From Schlatt." Willow sighed. He had spent all of last night worrying about what she was doing. It made her happy that he was worried but she could handle herself. She rested her hands on his shoulder.

"Remember when I stabbed Dream?" Tubbo chuckled a bit, remembering that day. He nodded, letting Willow continue. "Schlatt is the same but he is less logical than Dream."

"What does that mean?"

"It means that if I could hurt Dream, Schlatt is nothing."
Willow looked over towards the fallen walls of L'manburg. She had to make her way back to Schlatt before he did notice her gone. "I have to go but remember our rules." Tubbo nodded, grabbing her wrist and giving it a squeeze. "I'll see you back home, Tubs."

Willow left him behind as she felt her heart squeeze a bit. She didn't know if she could guarantee his safety at times but she had to try at least. Out of the corner of her eye, Willow watched Tubbo slip into the river. She didn't know much about his underground tunnel and she didn't want to learn. Willow moved her head, watching as Quackity approached her. She smiled at him, waving. I have no reason to hate him, I think. Quackity waved back, speed walking a bit to her. "Hey, Willow!"

She remembered how Quackity seemed so nervous that first day she met him. Now, they were stuck together. Willow wondered if Schlatt threatened him as well or if he was just as messed up as Schlatt was.

"Hey," Willow didn't want to ponder on that thought for any longer. Her mind wandered off to other things like what Techno and Tommy were doing at the moment. If Tommy was better off with Wilbur than here back home."How's being Schlatt's wife?"

"I'm not his wife!" Willow almost laughed at the blush on his cheeks. Quackity rubbed his neck, constantly looking over his shoulder. "I'm sorry for not telling you about the plan, I thought Schlatt had told you."

"Don't sweat it," She waved off. "We are partners now. You just follow his orders a bit more." Willow gave a tight smile and for a second, she could've sworn she saw Quackity do the same.

"Ah, my two favorite people!" Not my favorite person, She mentally responded. Willow and Quackity seemed to both straighten up and smile at him. She just hoped he didn't realize which one was fake. "Quackity, I need you to tell Niki I'm raising her taxes." Quackity nodded, not moving an inch. Willow watched Schlatt lean closer to the other boy. "Now."

She had never seen the boy move any faster in his life. There was that time at the election but even then, there was no second time. Willow flinched when she felt Schlatt wrap his arm around her and move her forward. It scared her to be alone with him. With anyone else around, she could make her nasty remarks with no fear but here, it was lonesome. There was no one to step in and say that he was going too far or question what was happening.

"Willow," He murmured. Her eyes moved quickly as she realized how he was bringing her back to the woods where Schlatt had her and Tubbo search days prior. Willow felt the arm around her grow tighter as they walked deeper into the woods. "Your eyes held so much emotion that night. It had me worried that someone made you upset."

"No," She whispered, her head shaking as well. "I haven't been able to sleep well."

"Nightmares?" Schlatt asked. Willow nodded. Her eyes scanned the tree line. There was no Techno to save her. She had to do this on her own. "What about?" Willow kept her mouth shut. Her nightmares shouldn't be shared with him, never him. Schlatt would use them against her in any way that he could. He used his other hand to rest on her cheek. "Willow, you can trust me."

"Home," Willow whispered. It was quiet. "Well, my old home. I always see it burning." Schlatt hummed, his arm releasing her. She moved her hand to rub the area, not noticing how he circled around her. Willow kept her eyes on the floor, watching the way he walked around from his shoes. "There's another reason you brought me here."

"You are very smart, Willow." She took a step back, her eyes still trained on his own shoes. "They were here that night, weren't they?" Willow raised her head a bit, looking at him for a brief second. She didn't know what to say to him. Willow looked back down at her clock. Tubbo wouldn't be back up for a while, she had to kill time. "Willow."

"Techno was out here," She stated. "I used to know him from when we were on the ship. I didn't know if he was still alive until that night," Willow rambled on. Schlatt didn't know anything about this. If he had, he might've had Willow convince Techno to join them. She noticed how his stance changed to more relaxed. "I was shocked to see him, that's all."

She heard a twig snap, making her head rise quickly. Schlatt stood in front of her, staring down at her a bit. His hand slowly went up, finding its place under her chin. He held her head in place, observing her almost. Willow felt scared. He was being too silent to her story, almost as if he was reading into her. Schlatt smirked at her, moving his hand to rest on her cheek.

"That story better be true," Schlatt cooed. Her eyes widen, tears beginning to brim. "The next time you lie to me, sweetheart, you will wish you didn't."

Willow heard him leave, the bushes rustling as he left her there. Her hands shook a bit. She felt resentment. Anger. Revenge. She let herself fall on her knees, closing her eyes for a bit. Willow didn't know what to do with so much emotion, screaming was a good option but she was sure that it would give Schlatt satisfaction. She slowly stood up again, her eyes still watery. Willow brushed off leaves on her clothes, her head held low and kicked the rocks as she left. Satisfaction was what Schlatt wanted, to prove he was in control; A game master and his pawns. Willow had to play pretend for a bit. Maiden in distress, heartbroken woman, ex-girlfriend left in the dust, or insecure woman. She would take it as long as it would give her the ending she wanted.

"Don't look sad your plan failed," Schlatt teased. Willow kept her head down, wiping non-existent tears. He placed his hand on her back. "Now, we can get to the good stuff. How's the sound of Manburg?"

"It's perfect."
