DEAR LILY EVANS,
╰── ⋅ ⋅ ── ♡ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╯

AS THE WIND RAN BY Gambit, she placed the watering can down. Stood on the balcony, she had noticed a small notebook placed between the railing and wall.

Strange, she thought, she doesn't remember that notebook being there last time. Picking it up, her fingers carefully tread through the pages, softly grazing the words etched on the pages as it was filled with love poems and heartfelt letters to a girl named,

"Lily Evans..."
Gambit muttered, seeing the same initials J.P written at the bottom on every page.

Some--most of them--weren't amazing or mind blowing, but the simplicity and honesty was heart pounding enough. It wasn't like of the classic literature Gambit reads, or nothing she'd ever read really.. It was unique and special as her heart swooned with such cheesy pick up lines and a smile creeping on her face but it wasn't for her. The leather bound notebook was closed as her pale fingers clutched on to it, to be put aside as she changed clothes.

She couldn't understand how it got there in the first place. First, she asked around to every kid who had the initials J.P to see if they wrote it but all of them had said no--most of them were seven and below anyway, no way these children wrote this, Gambit thought. Walking down to the kitchen after her interrogation.

Her eyebrows knitted as Quill entered, announcing his arrival.

"Auntie Marge! I'm here--oh hey Gams, what's wrong with your face?"

"Hey Eugene.. My face is perfectly fine--nevermind, I found this notebook,"
She hands the book to him, his mouth tuned upwards,

"Wow Gams, didn't know you had a secret admirer,"
He teased, flipping through the pages,

"That's not for me! It's for someone named Lily Evans, and J.P apparently wrote them all--"

"Well he's got some more lines to work on--your hair is as beautiful as the sun--are you serious? No one likes the sun! It's too hot to look at and everyone hates it,"
He tutted, muttering words to himself.

Quill enjoyed reading the book. The cheesy lines were funny to read but it's very flattering for the receiver, his hair wisped over his forehead, fluttering as his eyes scanned the pages with amusement masking over his pupils. Long fingers carefully flipping the paper over as to not cause damage,

He paused, giving the notebook back to Gambit. A small thought circled inside his mind,

"Quill..? What's wrong? You've gone all pale,"
Belle walked in,

"Ah no, it's nothing. Gams found a mystery love notebook,"
The word love rolled out his tongue in a teasing manner, arm wrapped around Belle's shoulders.
