A/N: I'm sooooooo sorryyyy. I literally haven't been on Wattpad in forever. This was what I wrote for a prompt my English teacher gave me. It isn't really a poem but I enjoyed writing it and I hope you enjoy reading it.
P.S. This is is definitely not my picture.

                        Nature Reclaimed
In the dark, a bird sings its graceful song and flutters its wings, preparing for flight. In the distance, a wolf howls at the full moon, shining bright. There is power that lies in each of their cries, dazzling, graceful, and full of life. The heart of this life fills the air as nature lingers in its own affairs. The rustling of trees can be heard as the squirrels dance overhead, and down below the rabbits play, running where they're led. In the sky above, a star smiles as a fox's prey wiles. But down below, underneath the leaves, humanity is gone and there's no one to grieve. The world may seem lonely without those who speak, but fall still returns and trees change their leaves. Nature lives on, growing in size, but Nature is seen only through Nature's eyes. Humanity may be gone, but Nature reclaimed, for what the humans took is theirs once again.
