"Mom?" I called out as I strolled into the kitchen. "Yes darling?" my mom answered making me smile. "Do you know whats wrong with charlie?" I asked and she sighed, putting down the spatula she was using to stir the eggs.

"To be honest Ariana, I have no idea. But I think it might be the fact that her own sister seems to be more interested in her best friend than she is her" she told me, and I gasped sadly, covering my mouth with my tattooed hand. "Oh no! I didn't mean to- oh fuck" I groaned, digging my face into my hands making my mom laugh softly. "Ariana, you do this every time" she told me and I looked at her in confusion. "What do you mean?" "I mean, every time you come home from tour, or whenever Charlie or Frankie have something important happening that they want you to be here for, you're always busy helping someone or doing something else. It's like you forget you have a family sometimes sweetheart" My mom spoke and I sniffled.

I never meant to make my family feel that way, I just loved to help people. Ever since I was a little girl all I wanted to do was make people happy, but I was so focused on doing that, I forgot that I had a baby sister and a brother who also needed me to help make them happy. I sighed, looking up at my mom again and biting my lip guiltily. "Do you think she's upset because of the whole Lina thing?" I mumbled and my mom nodded. "I think so. Lina's been Charlotte's friend since they were in kindergarten, but you have been her best friend since she was born. I think she's a little jealous, and probably quite hurt as well" She explained and I nodded in understanding.

"What can I do to make it better?"
"Well for a starter you can try hanging out with her"

I bit my lip, thinking about what Charlotte and I could do together before I gasped, my mom gave me a confused look and I grinned, whispering my plan into her ear and she smiled.

"Thats a great idea Ari, she'll be so happy" She says smiling and I giggle. "Great! Let me call Victoria and we can get started!" I exclaim, pulling out my phone and pressing on Vic's contact.

"Hello?"

"Vic! Hi, okay um, I need your help with something" I rush out and I hear Victoria giggle. "Alright dumbass, whats up?" She asks and I explain how Charlotte's mad at me, and what we're gonna do to fix it.

"Okay, sounds good, what do you need me to do?"
"All you need to do is pick up Charlotte from school, then bring her to that place. Got it?"
"Got it"

I thank her, telling her I love her before hanging up.

I grin, running my hand through my messy hair.

Charlotte's gonna fucking love me.

I'm in the cafeteira when the intercom goes off, causing me to stop ranting to my girlfriend about how unfair my sister is treating me.

Charlotte Buttera to the main office please

I furrow my eyebrows, confused as of why I was getting called to the main office for.

Quickly, I grab my stuff, saying goodbye to Julia and telling her I'll call her later. I walked into the office, becoming even more confused when I saw Victoria waiting for me.

"Uh..Vic? What are you doing here?" I asked and she smiled at me.
"I'm here to get you the fuck out of this hell hole! You got all your stuff?" she asked me and I nodded slowly. "Uh.. yeah" she grinned again, "great, then lets go"

She grabbed my hand, practically dragging me out of the building and into the school parking lot.

"Where are we going?" I asked as I buckled my seatbelt. Victoria shrugged, starting the car and starting to play 'Magic in the Hamptons' "I have no fucking idea. Where do you wanna go?" I bit my lip, thinking for a moment before answering.

"Home"

She nodded, pulling out of her parking spot and beginning to drive.

Once we got there, we both got out of the car, walking inside.

We snuggled up on the couch and watched movies until it got dark. Vic checked her phone and her brown eyes widened.

"Come on Char, we gotta go"

My eyebrows furrowed as I asked her where, but my questions were left unanswered as she hastily dragged me out the door and back into her car.

The two of us sat in an awkward silence as she drove, her eyes focused on the road in front of her. The car ride lasted about 10 minutes before Victoria pulled into a small, sandy driveway and I rolled my eyes.

"Vic, why the hell are we at the beach?" I asked and she shushed me.
"Be quiet, you'll find out in a sec"

She got out of the car, urging for me to follow her and I did. I followed her to almost the end of the beach until she stopped. She turned around, looking me in my eyes and smiling.

"Okay guys, turn on the lights"

As soon as those words left her mouth, a ton of fairy lights turned on, lighting up the area and making me gasp.

Not only were there strings of fairy lights, but there was also a small picnic set up and a truck with blankets and pillows arranged on the back, making a cozy little fort.

"Vic, did you do all this?""Nope

"Vic, did you do all this?"
"Nope. Your sister did"

I gawked at her. "Ariana did this?" I asked surprised and she giggled, nodding.

"Dont sound so surprised" A voice said and I gasped, running into my sisters arms making her giggle.

"Hey kiddo"
"Hi ari"

My voice was a bit muffled since my face was dug into her shirt but she could still hear me.

"Do you like it?" She asked shyly and I nodded. "Of course I do! I love it- one question though" "Whats up?"

"Where the fuck did you get a truck?" I asked her, knowing damn well neither Ariana nor anyone she knew owned a fucking truck.

Ariana giggled, scratching the back of her neck awkwardly as she answered my question.

"I'm renting it"

I shook my head at her playfully, a small grin sketched across my face. She giggled, pulling me in for another hug before speaking.

"So... how bout we eat some of that food?"
