The rest of the day went by rather slowly, and to be honest I was kinda happy about it. I was dreading the moment when the clock hit 2:00 and I had to get in a small ass car with Scarlet and Lina.
Usually that'd be my favorite part of the day, but today I was honestly considering just taking the bus. I wasn't in the mood to sit and listen to my two best friends ramble about how amazing my older sister is.
I mean dont get me wrong, she is amazing but I was kinda mad at her right now. And to top it all off, after school today my whole family was coming over to see Ariana, so it's not like I could ignore her.
I sighed, trying to push away my thoughts and focus on what my English teacher was saying.
"Ms. Dimond?" A kid asked and our teacher groaned. "What Jefferey?" She asked harshly and I giggled quietly. "When is the assignment due?" He asked and Ms. Dimond rolled her eyes, "Well if you were paying attention you would know that it's due on Monday" She spat out and the class laughed.
I continued to listen until the bell rang, I grabbed my stuff running out the door and quickly grabbing my bag from my locker. I bit my lip as I stared outside, debating whether or not I should take the bus.
I shake my head, slinging my bag onto my arm and walking to where Scarlets jeep is parked. I climb into the backseat and Scarlet smiles at me.
"Lina's just taking a little while" I nod, staring out the window making her frown. "You good?" I nod again and she sighs.
"K, love you" "love you too"
We sit in silence for a while until Lina runs over, climbing into the passenger's seat panting.
"C'mon, I have voice lessons in fifteen minutes!" Lina yells and Scarlet's eyes widen. "Jeez, okay" She starts the car, driving towards Lina's house and dropping her off.
"Bye! Thank you, love you!" Lina yells as she runs towards her house. "Bye, love you too!" Scarlet yells back, but I stay silent.
"You wanna grab some coffee?" She asks and I shake my head. "I cant, sorry. I have family coming over" Scarlet nods in understanding. "To see your sister?" She asks, her brown eyes focused on the road and I nod.
"Yup, why else" "I'm sure they come over when shes not there, right?" "rarely" I say "only on like, the holidays though" I mutter and she sighs. "Im sorry, that sucks" She empathizes and I nod. "Yup. It does, it sucks ass" I exaggerate and Scarlet laughs as she pulls into my driveway.
I hop out of the car, telling Scarlet I love her before running inside. I open the door, throwing my door on the floor. "I'm home" I yell and I hear a giggle. "Hey Char, come here" Ariana yells from the living room and I groan, doing as she says.
"What do you wan- oh, hi" I say when I see my entire family sitting on the chairs, couches and floor.
"Hey bitch" Shay, my favorite cousin says, taking a sip of her lemonade and I grin.
Shay is probably the only person who understands me, and shes funny as hell too. "Shay Victoria Grande, watch your mouth" Aunt Ella, Shay's mom scolds. "How was school?" My mom asks as she sets out a cheese platter and I shrug, grabbing a cracker. "It was fine, I guess" I say and plop down next to Shay. "You got homework?" Shay asks and I nod.
"Don't do it" She says seriously and I laugh. "I have to" she shakes her head, "No you dont, just tell your teachers you were spending time with your bad ass cousin" I laugh, "Bet" Shay grins at me, grabbing a piece of cheese and sighing. "I missed you" She says seriously and I frown. "I know, I missed you too. When was the last time we even saw each other?" Shay thinks for a moment before answering. "The day before Ariana left for tour" She takes another sip of her lemonade and my eyes widen.
"Whoa" "Mhm"
We sit in silence for a while until my Aunt Melissa comes in with her baby making me gasp. "Hi bubby!" I say quietly, scooping her up and cuddling her making laugh.
My family aw's, taking a few pictures of the two of us before going back to what they were talking about.

I sigh as I swing my legs back and forth as I sit on the kitchen counter. Its been about three hours, and they're all still here. I had gotten bored of listening to Ariana brag about how successful and famous she is so I snuck into the kitchen.
"Wassup buttercup" Shay jokes, grabbing some more lemonade from the fridge. I shrug, "I just got bored" Shay humms, "Same, Ariana's talking about how much she misses being on tour." Shay says and I shake my head. "She can never just be happy, when she's here she wants to be on tour, when she's on tour she wants to be here. Its annoying" I complain. Shay purses her lips, sighing.
"True, but to be honest if I was famous I'd do the same fucking thing" She says, saying 'famous' in a funny voice making me laugh.
Shay and I talked for the rest of the night until she had to leave. We said goodbye, hugging each other and promising to keep in touch.
Once everyone was finally gone, I walked upstairs, brushing my teeth and changing into some pajamas.

I climbed into bed, wrapping my blanket around me and turning on my TV. I turned on the office, watching a couple episodes before falling asleep.
