SOFIA P.O.V.

Sunlight streamed through my bedroom window, signaling a new day for me to conquer. I opened my eyes to a grey bunny and a few birds staring at me intently. Though they had definitely grown up quite a lot, Mia, Robin, and Clover were still as bright and lively as ever,

"What's up, Princess? You ready for your second day of school?" Clover stood on his hind legs, earning a chuckle from me.

"Sort of, I don't want to run into Alyssa again" I shrugged nonchalantly, even though the thought of the rude princess made me shiver. Lazily, I got out of bed, making sure not to trip over Clover's carrot sticks that needed to be picked up and thrown away. I made my way to my vanity, cringing at the sight of my bedhead and tired eyes. I splashed some water on my face, hoping to cure whatever curse someone bestowed on me, making me look atrocious in the morning.

In less than five minutes I was ready to pick out a dress from my vast collection... just kidding. Almost all of my dresses, well clothes, are purple since it has been my favorite color forever. Mia, Robin, Clover, and Whatnaught came in staring at me."Should I pick a purple dress, purple dress, or purple dress?" I laughed, I should seriously expand my color palette, even if it may just be a few dresses. Mia flew over to a section in my closet, flapping her wings excitedly.

"Wear this! It would look amazing on you!" Mia chirped, nodding to a gorgeous satin, lilac-colored dress that seems fit for a model and most certainly not me. I couldn't even pull off my pajamas.

"Yes! Wear that, you will glow in that!" Robin added, leaving a warm feeling in my stomach. Would people start to notice me more if I wore that dress?

"It's a bit risky for school, don't you think?" I replied hesitantly, it did seem a bit out there for school.

"Sofia, you are about to turn sixteen. There is no harm in wearing a different dress that makes you feel good. Besides, this is nothing compared to some of the dresses that Amber wears" Mia assured me, plus that dress really looked stunning.

"Okay, I guess this one time wearing a cute dress wouldn't hurt"

By the time I got to school, my face was flushed with all of the compliments I had just received. My parents, James, some of the kind servants, and especially Amber were very pleased with my change in attire. Amber specifically told me that I was long overdue for a confidence booster.

I was in my first class, History of Royals, when Hugo, Ben, and Christian walked in. All of them had a smile on their face, but seeing Hugo happy just made me feel warm inside.

     What the heck!?

It was always nice to see a friend smile, but why was he any different? I guess he did stick up for me yesterday, or that's what I heard from Christian, yeah. That had to be the reason I felt all giddy, right?

HUGO P.O.V.

I walked in with Ben and Christian, laughing about some snarky remark a teacher had to say about Alyssa when I saw Sofia. Much like yesterday, the auburn-haired beauty managed to steal my breath away in a matter of moments just by looking at her.

"Hey, guys!" She smiled sweetly, making my breath hitch in my throat.

"Hey, Sof. How have you been?" Ben winked at me, sparking a friendly conversation with Sofia. Christian nudged me forward and smirked, earning an eye roll from me. They both, along with pretty much everyone I knew, were aware of my crush on Sofia. If you couldn't tell, Christian wasn't much of a talker, but his actions spoke loudly, especially when they were directed towards me. He wanted me to talk to Sofia, despite knowing it was increasingly becoming a struggle for me to utter a word without stuttering.

Walking to her desk, I noticed her new dress that fit her glove. My mouth dried at her stunning sight and words became hard to form, harder than before.

"Hey, Christian, Hugo" Sofia smiled briefly before return her gaze to Ben, who was telling her about Madelyn. That boy seriously head over heels for her, and no one seemed to mind. After all, they are the "it" couple of the school, that was until I got the courage to ask Sofia out, if she said yes.

"Nice dress, looks good on you" Christian told Sofia honestly, I knew that was a signal for me to say something. I snapped out of my thoughts and cleared my dry throat,

"He's right, that dress makes you look years older. Trust me that is a compliment" I barely croaked those two sentences before Sofia's face turned as red as a cherry.

"Thanks, I wanted to try something new and saw this" She looked down, fiddling with her amulet. Now that I think about it, I have never seen her with that necklace off.

"It does look good on you, really good"

It was lunch and Sofia was sitting next to me, driving me crazy. For the past two days she has always been on my mind. It didn't matter if it was at the dinner table, a school desk, or even skating at the rink, she was always there. Now here I am with the girl of my dreams right next to me and I don't know what to say.

"Hey you good?" She tapped my knee lighty, shooting a surge of electricity through my body at the touch of her finger tips.

"Yeah, just thinking of some stuff Dad told me" That wasn't entirely a lie, my father had said he wanted to speak to me after school about something important.

"Well that sounds fun" She teased, knowing that talks from out parents could be boring as heck.

"What about you, anything planned for Sofia the First later today?"

"Today? No. But I was hoping to get some of the old RPA gang together on the weekend some time" She beamed, making me copy her actions. I missed my old buddies from Royal Prep and it would be nice to catch up with them.

"Hey y'all! Sorry I'm late but I was talking to a teacher" Madelyn said cheerfully, sitting next to Ben and giving him a big kiss on the cheek. He hated the PDA, so all the more reason for Madelyn to show it.

"Hey, would you guys want to meet up with some of our old friends on the weekend" Sofia smiled sweetly, using her finger to point at me and her.

"Yes! New friends are so much fun to make!" Olivia said, Christian asked her to sit at our table and everyone loved her, but Sofia still shined brighter than her any day, at least in my eyes.
