HUGO P.O.V.

It took all of my willpower to not slap the living daylights out of Alyssa. I don't give a flying fish if she is a girl or a princess, she insulted Sofia for absolutely no reason, and that infuriated me! Sofia is one of the kindest people I know and it physically pained me to see the salty tears fall down her cheeks. I want nothing more than to race out of this classroom and give her a hug or at least some comfort, but I know Ben and Christian wouldn't let me go.

My hands started to hurt from how hard I have been gripping the desk, my knuckles were turning white.

"Great, that bimbo is gone. Was she bothering you, Hugo?" Alyssa's voice rang through the room like nails on a chalkboard. Ignoring her, I looked at Ben and Christian who just sat there with shocked expressions on their faces. Closing my eyes, I took a few deep breaths and prayed that I won't blow my fuse. Then, Alyssa did something that made me enraged. Alyssa pushed all of Sofia's stuff off of her desk and sat there as if she didn't cause a 15-year-old girl to cry.

"Excuse me, Alyssa. Someone was sitting there before you" Ben announced with hatred laced within his words. Not long ago, Alyssa made his girlfriend feel that she wasn't good enough to live, so his loathe for her runs deep.

"Well, that whore can find a new desk, she was flirting with my boyfriend anyway" Alyssa's words cut like knives on my skin. She can insult me all she wants, but that was the final straw.

"Hugo, don't!" Christian stated in a firm but calm manner, grabbing my arm to try and stop me. I shrugged him off, Alyssa was rotten and she needed to be set straight.

"First of all, we aren't dating. We have never dated or done anything remotely close to dating. Also, Sofia is a childhood friend who I have known for years and actually enjoy talking to. She has never had a boyfriend and she is not a bimbo or a whore, so you can take your tiara and high heels and go apologize because you made her cry. And for heaven's sake, step off of your pedal stool and realize that you aren't better than the rest of us!" I was standing up, looking at Alyssa dead in the eye, hoping she got the message.

"Has the summer meant nothing to you?! All of those dates we went on down the drain?!" Alyssa lied, fury seethed out her teeth.

"You're delusional! Those were dinners with our families to discuss the peace between our kingdoms! Stop lying, no one believes you! And get out of Sofia's seat before I do something that I might regret!" I declared, pointing to an empty desk across the room. Hopefully, she could use her brain and get the hint that I didn't want her near me.

Alyssa screeched picking up her bag, making me wince, but finally left her seat.

"She's a sociopath, I swear" I murmured, sitting back in my seat, yearning for Sofia to come back to class.

Around five minutes later, just when the bell was about to ring, Sofia came in with a small smile gracing her lips. Her little grin made my heart beat a bit faster, even though it wasn't directed towards me.

"Are you feeling better, Sof?" I asked, genuinely wanting to know if she feels alright about what just happened in the past ten minutes.
