I Won't Fall

2. Monday

You wake up to your brother screaming at you.

"Y/N WAKE UP. SCHOOL STARTS IN LITERALLY HALF AN HOUR AND YOUR'E NOT EVEN DRESSED YET."

"Coming coming.." You grumble as you walk towards your closet. "What should I wear.." You decide to wear a black skirt with a giant sweatshirt and thigh highs. You tie on some black military books and head downstairs. "Dude hurry tf up. Here, have some toast." Ayato, your brother, says. 

You eat the toast and he drives you to school. He's a third year and you're a first year. When you guys arrive at school, he ruffles your hair and says "Don't worry, you'll most likely not scare away EVERYONE." You punch him. "Oh shut up, street rat." 

You walk to your locker. You realize that you have to share a locker with someone, their name is Chara Kashido. 

"HEYYYY, SO YOU MUST BE MY LOCKER BUDDYYY." You hear a voice say. "Oooh hiiii, yEa I'm y/n l/n, call me y/n!" 

"Omg your name is so prettyyyyyy. I'm Chara Kashido, call me Chara! You want the top or bottom locker?"

"I'll have the bottom."

"Mk. So, what's your first class?"

"Ew math."

"Pff I love math." Chara says. "Oml how? it's nasty and difficult and stupid." She laughs. "It is not." The bell rings and you head to math. "I guess I'll see you at lunch!" You hear Chara say. "She seems nice.." you think as you find a seat near the back. A tall raven-haired guy sits next to you. "Hello." He says in a quiet voice. "Hi! I'm y/n-" 

"I know who you are." The boy says without looking up from his text book. "You wHa?"

"I said I know who you are." He looks up. "Ahaha.. um how-"

"Your brother. I was talking to him. We share a locker and he mentioned you."

"OOOOH ok that makes sense."

"OK CLASS. Shut up and start pages 10-25 with the person seated next to you." Mr. Joana, the teacher, says. "Mk so I guess I'm working with you." You say. "You know my name, but I don't know yours. What is it?"

"Oh I'm Akaashi Keiji."

"I-"

"Is something wrong?" He asks, looking genuinely concerned.

"Oh no I'm fine." You reply. "Let's start this work."

"Ok, I'll get 10-15 you get 15-25?" Akaashi asks.

"Mhm sure." You say. "Oh my god fuck shittykawa." You think. "UgHhhhH I don't want to lose this damn bet. WAIT, who said you would? He's just a guy who you share first period with. Nothing else." You finally are satisfied. The bell rings and you finish 15-25 just in time. "Why did you make me do more workkk." You ask Akaashi.

"Because I hate math."

"Well that's not fair because I hate math too." You say as you pack your crap up.

"Too bad, see you later y/n." He says chuckling, walking out the door.  "Yea bye.." You mutter, following him. Your next class is Akaashi-free, thank god. You're in this class with Chara, which makes you feel good because she's ✨amazing✨. The other classes breeze by and it's finally time for lunch. You and Chara decide to sit with each other under a lovely tree. "Ok so I have a plan." Chara says.

"Ooh what is it?"

"Here me out, here me out, mk? We both sign up to be the managers for the volleyball team." You spit out your juice that you were trying to drink. "We wHa?!"

"Sign up to be the managers!"

"Um- Y'know what fuck it let's be the managers."

"Sweeeet! We can talk to coach after school today." 

"Ok, see you then!" You say just as the bell rings, signaling lunch is over.

"Byeee!" You hear Chara say as you throw away your trash and head to your next class. 

The rest of the school day feels like forever, but finally it's over. You're in the gym waiting for Chara when you hear a familiar voice. "Oh, hello y/n. What are you doing here, may I ask?" "Oh hi Akaashi- I'm waiting for my friend. We're gonna try to be the new managers." 

"Oh, cool. Coach is inside setting up, just so you know." 

"Cool, thanks." You say as he walks in. "HII SORRY IM LATE." You hear Chara say. "Cmon let's gooo." You drag her inside. 

"COACHH. COACH!" You both scream. "Hm? yes?" 

"Can we be the managers." 

"Sure- our last managers graduated. Go ahead and get on the volleyball uniforms and start filling water bottles, please." 

"Ooh yay ok!" Chara says. "HEY HEY HEY, NEW MANAGERS." You hear someone say.

"HI IM KOTARO BOKUTO, JUST CALL ME THE AMAZING CAPTAIN." He says, winking.

"Yea no-"

"Aw man." He says, walking away like a sad little baby. "Bokuto san, you're going to scare them away." Akaashi says.

"Sorry sorry, LETS START WARM UPS GUYS. CMON CHOP CHOP." He replies.

You and Chara head out to fill water bottles.

"Jeez, this is one crazy team, huh?" Chara says.

"Oh yea, in more ways than you think."
